She would not stop spiting out new pistils.. All the tric's are cloudy. At least everyone can see what they might get.

I don't test mine either. I had 1 batch tested of gg#4 and OGM I was curious. They tested bot hat the ICM cup. The used TLC with is the least accurate

The best thing about testing is the test for pesticides, which can save you from ingesting poisons which some unscrupulous growers pour on their plants in flower to "save" their crops from BMs, etc. If it's 20% or 25% THC doesn't really matter. Either way, you still get blitzed.

From what I understand, NO. Take a pound of GG4 in today. They are out so they have to send it in for testing. Results come in. More GG4 comes in over the next 60 to 90 days, can't remember what my bro said, and it all goes in the same jar. Seems the test results are good or ok for a certain amount of time. No one ever said dispensaries are honest. Imagine that.

I routinely test flowers for microbiological contaminants, biological contaminants, terpenes, potency, and pesticides.

But the answer to your question is no. 99% of dispensaries test for potency only for flowers. A handful of good ones will test concentrates for potency and residual solvents. This is for CA. Colorado and Washington are different.

Yes... lots of places do exactly that... Harborside tests for potency on their machine right in front of you. They take it off your hands CONTINGENT on it passing a microbiological (mold, mildew) screening. This takes more time, and if it fails, you come back and take your nasty weed with you.

Eventually it will be, but there are no expansive regulations that encompass all dispensaries here. When it becomes legalized recreationally I'm sure that will change. For instance Washington has a 500ppm residual solvent cutoff for concentrates. Lots of places in CA have adopted that as well, but they are not forced to. Its more to just stand out from the crowed as a progressive and higher end establishment.

have to think its a good thing if they do, I know theres a few growers that don't give a shit as long as they get paid

I feel that testing for pesticides is the most important test, because it directly impacts your health. I also feel that eventually, this may become mandatory by statute. As much as I hate to have government involved in any part of this process, I would feel much better knowing that any herb I purchased would be pesticide free. I can tell potency by smoking/vaping, etc., but I can't tell if the grower used pesticides. Miticides are particularly toxic. I don't want that stuff anywhere near me. Who wants toxins in their meds?
Kudos to those who test for pesticides. I think Cali will head in that direction eventually.

On another note, big thanks to 3rd and PF for letting us know that these girls blast off if you feed lightly at 1.0-1.2EC.

I've had my second run of her in the main room for 16 days and some of the GG4 are at the 3rd rung of the 54" cages already (35"). They were about 12" when they were placed in the room. For those of you who don't feel like doing math, thats 23" of growth in 16 days.My last run vegged at 1" per day, and I was feeding 1.3 - 1.6 EC.

I agree, that stuff is awful. Smoking mold and mildew can be just as bad though, and sometimes impossible to identify with the naked eye.

I'm not a big smoker, but sometimes I go around to well known dispensaries and grab a gram to check out the competition. I did this the other day with a "top shelf" strain that looked great. I got home, cracked the bud open, and the inside was rotten with BLACK MOLD. Totally nasty shit...

If a strain is supposed to be 25%, and you grow from seed, what are the most important factors to get high THC? Is it light, nutrients, CO2, etc.? If stupid question, bitch slap me, and point to an article.

Thanks!
