tick tick tick

tick tick tick

never spit the bit

never quit

I was reading about...then watching footage (over and over) of Secretariat destroying Sham in the '73 Belmont...winning the triple crown..winning it by 31 lengths in 2:24...the entire spectacle..on another level. He wasted Sham that day...broke him off big

actually think horse racing is a pretty disgusting biz...right there with sea world. I've never been to the races in Del Mar...and the only time I was in sea world...was after bar..sneaking in and swimming with pilot whales and the dolphins..way back..when you could get away with that..

^ Couple Moxies getting towards flush. I keep bending/tying branches the entire flower cycle...finding that..by bending..you can keep better exposure all way round..in the guts or on the tops

in the flush phase..I like to bend the flowers out of the brightest light footprint..feeling they don't need direct spray..the shadowing doing a better job for them

^ this one is 56 days...flushing since day 48 (I like day 48 for some reason)>>>>>>>>>>she will get harvested in the next few days..58-60 days I'm feeling

58 or 70 I can't tell the difference on anything. Flavor High Yield...seems the same.........58 days is cheaper than 70 days though...and I love slamming plants through the cycle in 58

bam boom bash bang...there's another one waiting for the slot...getting too big in her veg state<<<<<<<<<<<<<begging to be flowered

* 3rd day of this week's training binge done been run....couple hours of heated assault

another day tomorrow...and maybe another on Monday...then a rest. I'm less sore than I was 2 and 3 days ago. Felt real good today..my time was good..nothing really betrayed me....intensity was there but I was relaxed in it...pushing but having fun too

hey jericho,

sounds like you are in a nice groove now with your chosen path ;)

I'd love to see what those HM x BB crosses you made could do... ever plan on sprouting any more? I need to attend DJ's class and acquire come cuts and seeds from the good man.

I don't remember reading if you were growing in the pit this year or not?

hope the weekend's treating ya good...

good vibes...

....yeah. It seems everything I do is about me. O happiness

Spending energy/effort attempting to be courteous..conscious...aware..etc of other things....is..in a simplified response...a waste of time. the world revolves around me...just as it revolves around...any other self accepting individual. the world goes away when I go away. the death of a salesman.

I'm done concerning myself with my ego's reflection. If it's out there trying to shine..just to get noticed...inflated or deflated...I don't care anymore. Acceptance of its lack depth and all...is in a different light..more humble...and yet..."being humble" is a huge ego trip itself. We are all god.

* social running the other day...well..I didn't start..stay..or finish in the group. Went to the front..and went. Socialized afterwards. Good time...good peeps.

** I am looking to train with anyone who can run me down. I want to be pushed.

*** Harvested an entire Q. Mox yesterday morning...day 57. I'm growing her more like a Flo than a Chem/Sour. Liking the late 50's harvests..as much as...70 day harvests...so why not? I'll post up some pix later on

**** There are plenty of stoners in the ultra world (trust me there) and I plan on sharing the Mox with them. It's primo herb for running. That's about my only plan for the Q. Mox clone. Share her attributes on the trails.
High Jericho:tiphat: I been Lurking 4 some time now and now i have to say hello to you  I must say that you´r big inspiration to me Thx 4 that champ. I been Running since November 2013 and its awesome. Im going to run my 2 trial maraton this saturday . Big ups champ :woohoo:

Periodically....

Periodically....

the hand delves into a quarter pound sack of Moxie buds..

firmly wrapped, cured, and kept in one zip lock inside another..no jars do I use for this bud...so un organic....but really works better for the Moxie

regardless (organic non organic vegan vegetarian...labels)...the delving hand always returns with a small handful...which then goes..into my little smoke stash jar...for all my daily uptake into moxie burning vapor

* my indoor garden of Moxie...pretty fucking nuts. Hollowed tubed limbs bent completely around the bulbs...in such a circle you see..that ..I must get very low to tunnel my way within. Much like the months around the sun...time passes...plants ripen...plants harvest out...plants voyage in. a spinning canopy top

I have very little spare time to spend gardening indoors. I get in there...and I blast out the chores..then I leave...blowing kisses bye bye...until..the next session

** Still prepping for paint. Any time I have the time/energy...I'm up and down ladders...sanding...scraping...nailing...caulking/filling. Doing it slow and proper. I'm way into it now....doesn't bother me at all. Getting a super break on paint. I believe in quality paints..the cheap ones don't cut it in this environment. Made a deal with a painter for some labor and discounted paint.

New Shoe Day

Sounds a little kooky...but anyways...it's the end of the Altra Lone Peak 1.5 era..and the beginning of the Altra Lone Peak 2.0 era. Every year and a 1/2 Altra has been updating their Lone Peak model (the 2.0 is the 3rd generation)..

just got my yellows an hour ago. Had to pre order to get in on the consumeristic wave of runners waiting on the new design..a little X-mas-like occasion

fucking sweet...like killer bees. I'm coming off a 5 and 2 week (running 5 consecutive days with 2 days off)....rested yesterday and today (rested just means not running trails..has nothing to do with other real life activities)...so

so...I'll get to start thrashing these things tomorrow. One thing I can see is:

^ they fixed an issue I've been having with the 1.5's. The stick indicates a lack of tread..located in the center of the heel..where rocks tend to find a jarring home in the 1.5...corrected on the 2.0 by adding the missing/needed piece of tread rubber. hopefully anyways..I mean...sure looks like they fixed it..

getting heel slammed hurts like a bastard..and is almost always caused by landing on differing heights of rocks...I'll land well on the ball of my foot..but then catch a rock at angle..on the bottom of my heel...the faster I'm going..the harder the hit. fucking hurts and pisses me off..you feel the aftermath for days. Also have noticed that once a heel takes such a hit...it becomes a magnet for further hits. Strange how it works

I'll get back with some garden pictures sometime in the nearest of futures. Been focused on other projects..but I'm still harvesting herb and veggies...and still experimenting with such things

wrenching on and driving my ride...working...training...attending a murder trial.........

the IC forums seem a lot different to me these days. Lot of my friends have dropped off...and I suppose it's another era ending. I can't even remember all the different projects I've done over the last 7 yrs...so when people ask me..I have to really dig back..probably go through the bean collection to make sure it happened

its all a dream, you're in the middle of an ultra marathon at mile 124 so yer just wonky....

did a 50 mile ride yesterday, pretty hot day but i got pretty far up a canyon, the map on the phone app showed i was almost out of canyon so next time im going around the back so i can link a bunch of dirt together, gonna be a real grinder of a ride, plenty of climbing and long stretch of deep gravel...you know,a full on desert fest of rocks and sand and more rocks with a frosting of nasty ass plants and brain searing sun...and on a fully loaded bike too...good fun...

Nice. That's a minimalist approach.

I've gone barefoot a few times for a couple miles. Ran in some Vibram and in the Merrell trail gloves...but my feet kept taking serious beat downs. Trained in the Merrell for many months..but the Vibram for only 75 miles (ripped the material between the toes) and damn near fractured a pinky toe off on a rock.

Now I've revised my thinking and decided that I'm into hybrid minimalist shoes...and hybrid satvia dominants.

The Lone Peaks have the zero drop thing going on...some good padding but not overboard..as I can still feel the terrain...and I find total confidence in putting my feet anywhere on the trails. They don't roll over much..take the hits well..and I can go full speed without worries.

It's semi organic. Running shoes make us hybrids. I accept then..that I'm a hybrid..taking full advantage of human ingenuity and technology. There's no way I could go bouncing off rocks as aggressively without this shoe cheat. I think more about skateboarding and Baja/SCORE racing when I'm running...kind of how I picture my style...carving...bouncing..staying off straight lines..sliding and balancing...terrain driven.

I'd love to make my own shoes. That's something I could get heavily into....

heading out for some gnar shreddery today, just a little spin around the trails, going to do a little exploring since my skill set is improving, got into some gnarly little rock gardens last time, had to walk a short 10 foot section, had a few "oh shit" moments...if theres anything i have learned about riding a mountain bike its this....the less vagina you use,the better off you are...

So true on the vagina thing. To get serious...I preach: you must be able to handle the heat of the day runs and you must hit it like you mean it..to progress. If you are not falling...you are not going hard enough. Pain is every day. No sympathy No mercy No quarter..face your own music

^ slightly different angles...shot this morning as I was unplugging..

this is that full circle of Moxie (and the last Hell Queen)....can't fit in another until I harvest one. Probably harvest in the next couple days (as I think about it)

years of work and this is where I am. Not unhappy at all.

* get ready to run...fueling up...waiting for the wife to get back from her run...

no rush. Letting the day heat up..cut some shoe laces..stretch out..intake a few bowls to get my head melted down

fucking new shoes..like getting a new race car. Test pilot

EDIT: Looking at those pictures makes me want to put on my welders goggles..I'm so programmed

frickin nailed it today,i had wrecked on this particular trail enough that it had gotten into my head....long,rough all rock sections...not some smooth slickrock stuff but chunky decomposing granite, and the recent rains have made a mess out of the exits from the gullies...all in all an excellent run for me,a big confidence builder to have a pretty smooth run and feel like i was picking my line well and maintaining a good position on the bike...and the bike itself really inspired tons of confidence since the balance is so superb even at low speed i felt in control...
now i can add this section of trail to my normal loop until i get it dialed in then i can reverse direction since that always ups the challenge level...
yup, this is the next level, getting solid on intermediate level trails with more technical terrain, doing pretty well considering i have only been back to mountain biking for like 6-7 months now...and i have a feeling the trail ratings are pretty stiff around here,so when i go to other areas that arent all rocks and sand that its gonna seem easier...
