if you're paying $275 a month and you don't fear for your life in the neighborhood
well, you've done very well
boredom is just another word for opportunity, means you have time to try something new
finding out what that should be, that can be a challenge

I'm trying to think of any benefits of living in a seniors building

Just think of all those horny old senior ladies in there just a looking for some new puntang. Hell, you could start your own harem in there. Almost like a Warren Jeffs Mormon without the whole plural marriage and religion aspect. Start doing your deep knee bends and back stretches. And if you get your doc to prescribe 800mg Gabapentin it'll numb your junk up so you can bang the ladies for hours. You'll be like the senior center Rock(hard) God Just make sure they have their med and life insurance up to date!!!

Buddy I've been with my gf for 17 years (I'm 32) and lived with her since we moved out at 18.

I cannot tell you how often I wish I could be living alone for a while. Not because I don't want to be with her but because I've never had that chance to be in my own place and sort my shit out on my own.

Get yourself a pet to care for and bond with.

If you get a pet, please make sure you properly care for it, people take animals for granted a lot of the times and it isn't always as easy as people make it seem if you really love your animal.

I don't think im going to get any pets. Too much responsibility. I am getting cable and internet though. Should be another 3 weeks and i'll be hooked back into the grid

Now its cable too? who the hell needs cable today with netflix, amazon, psn...everything is all ala carte. You won't like that $275 cable bill when you forget about it a few months believe me

You are lucky to live any place and have peace and quiet, especially in an apartment

Kinda sounds like you didn't even sit down and calculate some kind of monthly budget

I got the apartment above the wheelchair accessable unit so it's bigger. Slept at the family house last night. Bought a palm tree for the apartment. Gets light.

I haven't had 1 problem smoking. Went from smoking in the bathroom to smoking in the living room with all the windows open. Not a peep. Woohoo!

That sounds nice man. I've been paying $600-$900 a month just to live at home. Im honestly pretty jealous of $275.

Start listening to the radio. Sounds dumb but it helps if your lonely. You don't feel like you're alone listening to the music when there is a decent dj on the station. Find a station with music you like, or a comedy one or just something that takes your mind off the boredom.

Get a library card. Free books and most of them have dvds you can rent now too since blockbuster went out of business.

Buy a sketch pad. Cheap and pretty fun when stoned even if you have 0 talent for it such as I.

I agree with the poster that said to start growing!
If you're that bored, slam 20 plants in there and get to work :)
