This is what I've been using for my Macro or base fertilizer. It's "Max-Sea" its made down in Garberville, or at least distributed out of there. From what I hear its been an outdoor staple around the way for some time now. I used it last year and was very happy with it! It's just some generic label 16-16-16 fertilizer, but then they some how add a REMARKABLE about of soluble seaweed to it, once I add all the other bits and pieces of nutrients, I feel Max-Sea makes for a very good "backbone" to my nutrient regimen.

2/3 bucket of HOT water is used for any type of dry nutrient or anything thick, to aid in dissolution before mixing into a fresh cold reservoir.

JUST HIT the water, look at that color.

These were freshly transplanted roots and i wanted to "ease" them into things, so this is LESS then HALF strength. Look how damn intense that seaweed color comes out!

Where they stay inside, a bright sunny window!

Funny story... I bought these filters new, many many years ago. They have come back to me after sitting in storage unused for quite a long time.
picture.php

Two 10" filters ducted into a single 10" MaxFan, hopefully wont be much backpressure with all that filtration, when I had them installed originally, they were individually ducted to a 10" MaxFan. The fan has a 10">12" coupler on it, which connects it to 12" insulated ducting then in like four feet steps up again into a 14" insulated duct that disappears unseen into the attic/crawlspace. Almost all the ducting here 6"-8"-10"-12" was left behind by the previous tenants, they also left like 6x600w digital ballasts and 2x1000w magnetic. Along with various other handy gear they just didn't feel like carrying!

All up and in place!

Side view of the monstrosity!

Starting to hang up these shitty white ballasts. They were pretty much free however, so a fella in a tough place can't be too whiny about things..

Maxsea! We call it 'the maximum' cause it's a maximum blast of chems. Works well, extreme salt buildup though. The color you are seeing is just dye, the bloom is dyed red, and be careful because sometimes they are mislabeled and you will get veg food in bloom buckets. They also make a micronutrient packet to add, pretty sure nothing in the line has calcium though so you might need calmag still. Like you said its a base, most people only use it outdoors tho because it's quite strong.

Yeap, as "salty" as it gets! And the dye?? I'm not too sure, the bloom I used last summer came out the exact same shade of green in the tank? The only thing red that I recall was the label.. And I have DEFINITELY made a mess/spilled this all over me in liquid form, everything has washed out so far! So if it is dyed somehow, its an interesting dye that doesn't stain anything!

As for salt buildup, stuff like that only happens when you blindly follow the mixing instructions and not what your plants are telling you.. overfeeding is a simple man's mistake. I've been producing quality ganja since the early 2000's reusing medium and everything, what is this "salt buildup" you speak of? *scoffs*

And for micros and calcium I found a product called "Elemental" that packs exactly what I'm looking for.

Add some humic/fulvic any rooting products or other "cherries on top," some microhizae, and/or compost tea and you have a fairly complete nutrient regimen!

This stuff seems to just be great overall, I try and use in any time I'm not flowering, mebbe even a tiny sprinkle in week 5 or 6 to keep anything from yellowing out prematurely is going to be the plan as well... It's just a vegetable Amino-acid based 12-0-0 Nitrogen source. Smells like instant soup broth, kinda good..

Just fertigating dirt based girls with it? ie. Using it straight? or in conjunction with other nutrition at the same time?

Max Sea...Max Gnarly...

Ya ever mixed up your own conventional nutrients?

Pretty sure the "green" is a dye...

All the compounds are white or off white...Most dry fertilizers are mixed with an indicator dye so that you know it's mixed in to the tank...Miracle Gro is Blue for example....

The Kelps that I use that are granular like Ferti Organic's turn the water black , not green... but maybe it's just the species of kelp....

What do any of us outdoor growers know about growing any way...

yeah dep beds- spring water, maxsea 16-16-16 and tappin roots to boost up 2nd dep. they look really happy by the way. i thought it looked like engine antifreeze hahahhahahha. your better off without your partner and all the drama soon to follow. i had a real close friend tell me a story about coming to work one day to find his partner dead (od- heron) in the flowering room needles hanging out of his arm... be glad you won't have to deal with that.

Are you still running the Triminator? Do you favor it over the twister?
I had a sales rep come out and give a demo onsite. I thought the end result looked a bit better than the twister and with less rolling/compacting of the material. I just had a horrible trim scene experience that has made me rethink hand trimming everything. Sick of dealing with trimmers day after day... .

I hope your scene is off to a prosperous start, and you can relinquish ties with your partner drama free.

Positive Vibes and Clear Intentions,
