This thread is dedicated to Terpp Extractors. I will be purchasing many of their current and future products and documenting them. Anyone else who purchases from Terpp Extractors is more than welcome to post pictures and supply any information.

It was a pleasure to do business with Terpp Extractors and I'm very happy with the current purchase:

It was very easy to assemble the unit. I'll post more information at a later date but others please feel free to contribute to this thread.

Ugh. Thank you for the pictures! I didn't get enough at the cup, that stainless steel is just perfect!

Please update with pictures of your runs, and delicious unpurged collection pot goo.

Also, what recovery pump do you plan to go with?

Thanks for showing us a personally assembled MkIII! Ive been contemplating buying one recently myself and assembling too.

How many cans of butane does the 6" spool hold if you can think off hand? I want one particularly for distilling canned butane and butane/propane mixes. cheers! looking real nice I see you for the long boi. Proper!

I'll update some pictures of different products that I make with them. As far as the recovery pump, I'm using a Appion G5 Twin unless anyone has any better ideas.

I have no idea how many cans the spool can safely hold. I'm not using cans of butane. I'm using 99.9% N-Butane in Cylinders. If I had to take a guess of how much butane the spool can safely hold, I'd guess 3 pounds of butane but that's just a guess.

Can't wait to get my Terpp shipment tomorrow!

It's Christmas for you too! Enjoy it!

I took apart the tri-clamp 1" ball valve and one of the other smaller ball valves. I only was able to take apart one of the 4 other small valves easily. I will have to find a way to get some more torque on it in the morning. The tri-clamp 1" valve has some nasty yellow smelling lube up inside it. The smaller valves have some clear mineral type oil in them. I highly advise you guys clean your valves if you already haven't. :joint:

Good idea!

We also run a "spent" dummy cleaning load through a new Terpenator and discard the extract.

Looking good!

Yeah the mystery lube in the ball valves are no fun. We are hoping to offer cleaned valves in the near future. But like GW said, a spent trim run will help clear out that gunk. If you don't have any spent trim you can simply connect the top to the machine and do a run without a column since the liquid line is flexible.

We made it in late last night from Cali. It was only a 2,300 mile round trip from Cali to Colorado.

Everyone please bear with me as I get caught up with voice mails and emails.

I also understand some clients got a kit with some missing parts. My apologies. We are identifying those clients and getting parts shipped out express air today.

You can run your finger along the ball of the valve to check. Unless you cleaned them yourself of have run enough extractions, there's lube there.

Yah I think I'm going to clean all of them. I'm assuming you will get a little contamination every run till they are clean.

I took some boiling water to the ball valves and melted out all the lube, seemed to do the trick.

What happens to ball valves that have been used with no lube for a while (i.e. turned on/off more than 100 times)? I'm concerned with the potential for micro lacerations to start occurring with dried out ball valves, in addition to just being really hard to turn. Anyone experienced anything close to this?

So far mine are ok, I'd rather replace them if they stick then deal with lube in the end product.
