Using olive oil when trimming

use the oil to clean your hands AFTER trimming....And use gloves....

no oils should be used on the scissors when trimming...it will degrade the trichs on the buds.
Also instead of dipping the scissors in alcohol, use a razor blade (drywall blade) to scrape the goodness off the scissors...and sit aside and let it dry until the end of the trimming session...then put that goodness in the middle of a big ole fat joint and enjoy...couple of nice dark mexican beers to go along with it and you're golden...

I only clean my scissors with alcohol after I'm finished trimming. During trimming I just use a razorblade and scrap them and end up with a nice ball of goo.

Now that part is what I found over the top. I later thought it was a joke or said in satire or irony or whatever it is. But most recently not sure anymore!
Now that I did not understand either, maybe I need to be on a higher or astral plane or something, but at least that was funny in a twisted way.
Now this I really didn't understand and even less so why someone found it helpful. Please explain? Thanks!
that part I couldn't agree more with. I see these food shows about people going to restaurants where someone with slimy greasy hands dripping of some unknown substance are man-handling customer's food and no one seems to care! YUCK! I very rarely but occasionally do see on the same shows people wearing gloves, even hair nets and masks that cover their mouth and nose, and then I want to say WAY TO GO! That's what all restaurants should do and those that don't should be fined up the ass! Who wants to ingest someone elses skin scales or bodily fluids?
If that was meant literally, it is awful on so many levels: disrespecting the poor (peasants), Armenians, and little peasant kids.

Aloe is sent in by the mafia to take out former growers and get the plants done in 7 weeks or less.
He uses the former growers as fertilizers & doesnt even nutrients anymore! Just the water he reuses after waterboarding the infidels!
Im not sure if its the Russian or Armenians, I just know they dont play around.

to be honest, it sounds like a stupid idea, why? because, once the oil gets on the buds, that stuff will go rancid over time, plus might be a good place for bacteria and fungi to grow on after it went rancid...
also as sams stated, there is folks allergic to olive oil...
as someone else posted, a good way to clean up your hands once done, but a NO GO for "antisticking" properties during the trim job.

For all you pro trimmers,
Buy a small single electric hotplate, set it to medium.Get a small saucepan and fill half full of cheap canola oil.Let heat up. Everytime you need to clean your fiskars just dip into hot oil and open and close them a couple times , then wipe with kitchen tissue.
Way better than getting a headache inhaling ISO all day in a closed room.

Redfang check out another on of aloes threads u will see what coconutz is comin from.... and i couldn't agree more fuck trimmers especially if they got opinions.... i dont pay ya for ur thoughts just do it as i say... so easily replaceable i hate when they think they know better... if ya did ya wouldnt be doin scuz work n being doin sumthin productive for yourself...... trimmers R trimmers for a reason...

well stoney, to each their own, and maybe it will make a lot more sense when/if I read another thread as you say... but I don't believe in disrespecting/looking down on anyone, unless they give me good reason to (they are a disrespectful ass to me for instance). From a homeless guy to a peasant to trimmers, we all had to start out somewhere and some progress faster than others and that sometimes some of that can't be helped. Ok anyway off to trim! peace
