Who has grown a good white rhino lately?

Grew out greenhouses rhino regs about 5-6 years ago that came out pretty crappy. Grew it alongside g13 labs g13 x skunk, DNA La Confidential and Serious AK-47. La Con was best taste I've had to this day, AK was probably best structure I've ever seen on a plant and great all around, g13 was more sativa, smallish buds but had strong lemon smell and nice potentcy. The rhino had very little tricome coverage and not very potent, tossed it after 2 runs.

Regarding Mr. Nice's Medicine Man.......I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in since I have grown it a few times, but it was a number of years ago. It was GREAT in all ways......it was very potent, and has an unbelievable yield- at the time it was my largest harvest to date. I kept a mother but lost her eventually. I can't speak of it now since each vendors seed run changes the strain a bit (sometimes than other times), but what I had was TOP NOTCH is anyone's garden. A solid 9/10 !!!!! By the way, I stopped growing it as I moved on to feminized seeds.

I found some good medicine mans but they werent what i would call White Rhino, they were floral sweet. The Rhino to me has a greasy feel/look and a almost keroseeness with a sweet skunk taste/smell. Best Rhino in seed ive had was Nirvanas version. Probably 2005 release.
^yup this is what I expect from white rhino. not the floral side at all. im wondering if nirvanas seeds still produce that old school rhino that we remember.

To asnswer, a bit late......it was at least 6-7 years ago. It was great, done around 9 weeks, sticky, smelly and GREAT weight.

I believe these were given out by *********........I have them too and never grew them BUT I did hear good things about them years ago.
Bump.. Sure miss that old school Rhino. Puts all this kush krap to shame nowdays. I grew out Medicine Man from mr nice and White Rhino fem from Greenhouse. Medicine man was 12+ week haze garbage. White Rhino I ordered from greenhouse I think they sent me feminized. All female some had weird traits like double leafs. Decent quality, nothing near the old school version, but you could definitely see the rhino, It just leaned heavily to the floral generic white side. Very crystally plant. Odor floral widowy and slight citrus with undertones of the rhino kerosene. Nice body buzz but heavily watered down just like everthing else.

I remember a White Rhino as being Aghani x White Widow.

Semantics.. One is the more formal lineage. Im so sick of all the talk and semantics. Where are all the old overgrowers? The roadkill skunk fanclub thread has been going for like 8 years still no further ahead then when it started. That's just one strain out of the hundreds being lost. I dunno if it's a bad generation of breeders, greed or what but I'm fed up with crappy weed. When 10 or 20 years ago there was plenty of good strains on the market. Ive ran thousands of seeds from many different breeders and noticed the same trend. Particularily amongst the Netherlands seed companies.
This kush trend is the worst I've seen in my life. Id prefer any of the generics of the past especially since they didn't mess with other good strains. Kush×blueberry great, kush×bubblegum yay, kush×this kush×that kush kushkush. Pave everything with roadtar kush it'll keep the kids happy.

There's a lot more breeders. It was certainly easier to remember 10 years ago.

Seeing this thread brings back great memories of drooling over Dr. LOAD's Purple Rhino on OG! Think it came from Nirvana stock. Classic strain that is on the must try once list.

Hey guys, cool seeing this thread.
I still have a pack of White Rhino seeds from Nirvana circa 2005, last I checked I think there were 3-4 seeds left. I have kept them refrigerated since then and they should still be viable. I will take a pic of it tonight and upload, all of the Nirvana seeds back then came in little zip lock baggies with a leaf logo printed on it.
I ordered seeds from Nirvana in '03 and '05 (OGer here from about 1999) and I am still growing a Jock Horror strain to this day. Nirvana had great stuff at a good price.

Glad that there is still interest in the ole rhino, what she used to be was a growers and smokers dream.. she had knock you down punching power with yields that would boggle your eyes..
