Someth8ng that may help you, when you post your pics in the top right co4ner there is a drop down menu and the threads look way better if you choose original size.

My apologies for not addressing this earlier. My posted thumbnails can be expanded to full page by left clicking on them, once opened a few more clicks on any part of the photos will give an extreme close up.

These photos show the lighting involved, a single 400w Ceramic Metal Halide (CMH) 4200K, and two 68w Compact Florescent Lamps (CFL) 2700k range. The CFL lamps were purchased at Home Depot for 16$ each, they are quite a bit larger than a standard CFL yet they fit a standard base (e27) not mogul, they are extremely bright and I feel that they are a very good value for the average hobbyist.

Note: In these photos I did not allow the CMH to light due to its brightness, fearing that it wouldn't photograph correctly.

These photos help to detail the Low Stress Training (LST) involved with this project.

The thumbnails can be enlarged with a single left click anywhere on the photo, a second left click on the enlargement will page size it, a third left click will move to extreme close up.

Hey FB what does LST do for a grow and the Plant? I mean what is the real purpose, why not just allow the plant to grow in its natural fashion? I'm just curious?

It takes a short single cola plant and turns it into a short multi cola plant. It increases yields in micro to small grow rooms.

How?

How?

How does it do that? Do the nodal branches grow upward and become cola's? What happens to the main cola does it turn upward as well?

Exactly, the nodal branches receive more light because effectively they become part of the canopy. LST gets similar results to SCROG, the difference being that the LST method allows for the plant containers to remain modular as opposed to SCROG where once the weave starts both the plants and containers must remain static in their positions.

FB that's very interesting. What do you use to tie down the plants? That green wire ur using is that like a tie wire or is it like polypropylene thread? I think I'm gonna try that on my next grow. It seems pretty interesting and the scrog that's the one in your other thread with the cage over top whats that just hold up the colas? For larger plants I mean? Cause my plants even at 40" don't have nodal branches that reach up to the top by the main cola but then again I only vegged them for like 4 weeks or so.

If you have trouble getting the plants to reverse, get one of these….they work.

http://www.colloidalsilver.com.au

Thanks for the input, I've been reading a few threads and I'm inclined to go the DIY route. I was looking at 99.99 silver wire on EBay, kinda pricey but figure I could get up and running for 20$.

The bitch here is that those little spray bottles don't last long. I'm 3-4 days into spraying and the 2oz bottle is half empty, spraying sucks, overspray is a big loss. I cut the 2oz bottle in half before I started, so I have 4oz now, but that will only last a week or so, maybe ten days.

So kinda a little caution to those out there who are thinking about trying this, if you are going to use CS, you'll probably need about a 10-12 ounce bottle for each plant you choose to treat, the other option is DIY.

:lurk: good luck

Thank you, and good luck to you too.

I was in your thread earlier, it's a good read, potato fleas suck. I was looking at your posting dates thinking that you must be harvesting now. I'm gonna check out your thread, see if updated today.

It's a great show you have there, a very nice looking group, I'd like to get the Sourbubble seeds, that's my kinda plant, highly potent, tough as nails.

I just did the flip yesterday, so today is day two of flower. Probably at least 2 more weeks of CS treatment, maybe longer.

Also, from reading many writings about CS treatment, the consensus is that multiple treatments every day is the surest route to reversing, so I have started treating the chosen 2-3 times daily.

As I mentioned in post #35, 4oz of CS will not be enough, it could easily take twice that amount, maybe more if it goes beyond 16-18 days of treatment, which I think it will.

The part of the plant that is getting the treatment is starting to show distortion, I've taken this as a good sign. More photos tomorrow.

Cool deal broter! Im along for the ride, though I don't think I have the time to join the contest. DOH!

Im really interested to see how this works out for you my friend. Best wishes!
