Coco runoff problem

So in a very big hurry I built out and loaded a new room, 6k 12'x16'. Problem is I didn't take into consideration the plywood floors and the runoff(always been on a slab) and am now having a huge issue with emptying pans (no room, irrigation lines everywhere, and a very bad back).
I run H&G Coco, Drip clean, Super thrive, Hydrozym and various bloom boosters at 800ppm to 1200ppm(x500) on a feed water feed schedule.
Can I run with zero runoff? If so do I need to change anything I'm doing?
Only other solution I can think of is to put in a reverse irrigation system that a shop vac could be hooked to to empty the pans.
Im fairly new to coco so any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

You can grow in coco with no runoff. I do and so do hundreds of other guys who use the blumat watering system. How to insure they get enough water but not enough to runoff I don't know in your case. You say you run dripclean already. If you are using the .4ml recommended dose you should bump it up to 1ml/gal. with no runoff. No runoff no problems so far for me, plants look killer 5 weeks in bloom. Goodluck!

I do use the .4 dose now, ill take your advice on bumping it up. Im sketched running like this mostly because the only problems ive ever had with coco where all salt build up related, hence why I started using drip clean and going to a feed water feed schedule.

You aren't supposed to run straight water through coco. Weak nutes that have enough cal/mag or you will get problems that look like salt buildup. Blumat users have found as long as the root system is moist at all times they don't have problems with salts.

Maybe someone else will chime in and push you in another direction. Just going on massive reading and only a short time in coco myself.

Stoned40 is spot on up the dripclean and salt related issues dont exist.... i use it 1ml a gal n use gh3part base with zero runnoff ... i would be the first to have it...if i didn't have dripclean i watered 2x as much min to get runnoff... taking 2x as long n 2x as much $$$$$.... its a expensive little bottle but saves ya half of everything else....

So without feed water feed and feeding every hydration what kind of ec are you suggesting? I must say the last run in coco I did the feed water feed thing and I thought it worked great, I didn't have any problems. But of course if I can feed every timeand get better results im all for it.

First rule of grow club is don't take no advice to change something that works fine for you:biggrin: Stay with your feed/water/feed and same ec that has worked for you. Never saw many guys say a high ec works great, most people overfeed and waste nutes. If you weren't already using .4ml/gal DC it would be a bad idea to all of a sudden give them 1ml/gal DC according to the manufacturer. Your plants have been grown with DC so you can raise it to 1ml. I raised mine from .4 to 1ml at the beginning of bloom. Stay the course young man, bump up the DC or not. Some guys run blumats- no runoff and don't even use DC. Your choice. Stay at the ec that worked for you all along IMO.

Thanks all for the replies and advice. I think I will stay the course and up the dc to 1ml/gal and see how that gos. After a couple weeks I'll get some runoff from the plants and make sure everything's copacetic. I was going to drop back the nutes and feed every run but I'd rather have as little variables as possible that way if something gos right or wrong I can troubleshoot easier. I'll post the progress of the ladies.
