i dont really care about Aptus, but the good results from e-paps are not just hyped up advertisement…..its a far superior light to anything on the market.

wholesale on the epaps is like 445-460 i believe…a good shop should do them for 500 or 550 OTD…but i heard others charging up to 600 OTD.

its a good investment because you can run a warehouse on 750 and save 4kw worth of power for every 20kw standard conventional lighting. big power savings…


sad to see what happened to aptus but i dont believe DT or the DGS guys are totally involved with that….lets see some updates DT!!

I have a 20k room filled with Gavitas and a 24k room filled with Magnum HPS's. The Gavitas are far more superior in growth as well as bud structure. I get more elongated nugs, 2.5# per light is very feasible .

If you ask me this tread pushed it to much -any connection or not - pepol paid top dollar for what, reg nutrients not even premium ingredients just reg stuff formulated and put into a bottle, slap on a lable.

But i am glad you found a good reflector and saving power dont get me wrong its all about sharing info

Hey Turbo,
That's an insane price on Epaps. Unheard of.
Don't tell the MFG, they are price fixing that stuff and wouldn't resell to that retailer for "breaking the rules." That cost is basically wholesale, under cost for smaller shops. I wonder if they bought a pallet or two with a 10% discount, or if they are just trying to make space for more Gavitas?

With the Gavitas, were you concerned with stretching with the distance? Their sales pitch is that the intense blue spectrum helps keep the plants shorter and bushier despite the light source being further away. Was this your experience as well?

How have your plants changed physically with the new DE lamps?
More underbranching and less popcorn?
Stronger, thicker stems and branches?
Enhanced resin/trichome production from the UV-B?
Any bleaching from the IR?

Have you found any cons going with these Gavita DE systems, particularly with environment control compared to your air cooled room with the Magnums?
