Oklahoma Initiative Would Make Pot a Legal, Exportable Cash Crop

The whole "Export" angle is part of the pitch tailored by OK activists to appeal to Ag interests in their State. I'm sure they all realize that it won't happen until the Feds are willing to go along with it, maybe never. It's a come-on, probably a good one in OK.

Truer words.

Interstate commerce falls under congress's jurisdiction. It's federal. The initiative may allow it but they once they get outside their borders they're in for a world of hurt.

As an Christian from Oklahoma, I sure hope this passes. It's high time people in the "Bible belt" READ the Bible instead of just attack people with isolated passages! As I see it, when Jehovah created all the plant life on the third day and called it "good". That settles the issue for me! This was obviously ages before Anslinger and his ilk decided to call one of His greatest botanical blessings "illegal". To outlaw creation is arrogance at best and blasphemy at worst. The good herb has greatly aided me in my walk with God. Like everything He gave to us, it is to be used to improve life! Acts 5:29.

Most excellent post my brother! The second page of the Bible says that every seed bearing plant was put here for us to use!!! So many people in Oklahoma play church every Sunday, But some how they managed to miss the second page! God made no mistake's, and our favorite plant was created for a reason.. It help's many people with many different ailment's!! God is Good... :huggg:

I am from Oklahoma, and this shit will not happen any time soon. No chance in hell ya'll. :)

As far as bulk product that is shit flooding the market, I believe Colorado, and California already have the lock on that.

If you don't believe me, go buy some "Recreational, or Medical cannabis" from a dispensary."

I believe large Corporations could easily produce shit weed just like 90% of the dispensaries do. :)

Have they gotten the 155,000 signatures yet or is that on going? ( oh please let them blow the state away like what happened on the florida ballot )

Thank you for the kind words brother! God bless! I believe I agree with my fellow Okie above on the chances of this happening. Lots of miseducated, misguided folks here in regard to cannabis. Regardless, I still love the good herb and will enjoy it no matter what man made laws say. It is contrary to the will of God to make His blessings "illegal".

There are people in prison for life for possession of small amounts of hashish in Oklahoma. Prison is a big industry in Oklahoma, #2 after agriculture. A lot of people there make their livings locking people up. Hopefully, they will be unemployed, as all cannabis prisoners should be released and paid reparations for their trouble.

you can get life for a grinder with a kief compartment in it...

a truly fucked up place...

praying this passes :dance013:

I was in Oklahoma City a few days ago for a quick visit, stopped by Kevin Durant's restaurant, ordered a few bottles of wine, went to the ball park (there was some college world series game going on), stayed at a hotel that view directly into the ballpark, and met a bunch of people. I have been in nearly every state in the Union, and I swear, the people in Oklahoma City were the nicest folks I have ever met. Everything was yes sir, no sir with real authentic responses. I can't speak for the rest of the state, but it would be nice to see these people pass legalization. The land prices and cost of living was extremely affordable, now the tornados on the other hand...not so cool, lol. Good luck Oklahoma!

Well spoken. Brother just moved to Oklahoma and I'm sure we'll frequent the state. Would be great if this passed. Fingers crossed for you.

oklahoma is going to pass a law that makes export to other states legal?

this shit is getting interesting now

might be a good way to get the feds to make a decision ....... but it might not be a decision we like

the damn feds need to lead, follow, or get the fuck out of the way! one way or the other, this IS going to happen. when you are being ridden out of town on a rail, you might as well wave to the crowd & pretend that you are leading the parade!

We are busting our butts collecting signatures on the medical one. I haven't seen the Sen. Johnson one yet. Join us on fb @ Oklahomans for Health. It's an open group.

Being from there, raised from birth and smoked my fair share of outdoor okie weed. I'd say that Texas is going to be the last state. OK has a shot w as many dems as they have. But you're right, it's a twisted cross Christian authoritarian mentality that is bizarre.

OK has some of the highest speeding fines in the nation too. Don't ask how I know :)

We are a red state thru and thru as per the last few voting cycles. Hoping to paint the state blue.
