Heath Canada has filed its "Appellant's Factum" to the "Federal Court of Appeals"

Heath Canada has finally filed its "Appellant's Factum" to the Federal Court of Appeals of Canada, on June 10, 2014...This is the first step in the appeals process.

The "Appellant's Factum" is read and judged by the appeals court to see if there is enough new evidence or if mistakes were made in the original courts decision. If it is deemed there is sufficient of either(evidence or mistakes), another trail date to re-explore the existing previous legal decision is then granted.

In this case, the "Appellant's Factum" is in reference to the Federal Injunction granted Mar. 21, 2014, to the Allard case. Which allows persons/patients with a valid ATP on or after Mar. 21, 2014, to continue to grow and suppy there own Medical Marijuana, if they had a valid PPL or DPL, on or after Sept. 30, 2013.

Here's a link to the "Appellant's Factum", if you wish to read it in its entirety.

Now we wait to see what the Appeals Court decision will be.

I would just like to point out that at the Current BC Price per lb...it works out to $2.67 a gram..... I have yet to see that price offered by any LP...

Yes, but that's very low-grade Merch Kush. Not necessarily the best comparison. But yes, LP's are grossly over-charging. They can still make a reasonable profit at ~$6/gram.

There's plenty of stuff out there that's good and guys still can't get more than say $1100 since the buyers are low balling. Also its still "easy" to grow with a much smaller chance of getting busted if you don't flaunt your grow.

In reality even at $6 per gram and say you need 3 grams per day that's $540 per month. Seriously no average Canadian with a family will be able to afford that, that's why they grew. The LP's will be getting people who will buy 1-3 grams here and there and some rich folk who have doctors friends that will sign for them.

The recreational market will still be full bore underground with people wanting their product right away.

what i want to know, honestly, is which LPs are producing proper aaa/quads? I still am unaware. if you are charging 3x street price, and more in some cases, it would be nice to be able to have that question answered. The only advantage i can see right now to the LPs, assuming you can find one with comparable quality you could get before, would be the consistancy of the strains. Where I am at, you get what is available at the time, the quality is there for sure, but can you order/get a kali mist or amnesia haze any time you want? You can get a kush 24/7.. but the exotics? and its sad that i call those strains exotic. lol. I long for a proper chocolate thai. mmm...

beyond that. i think the entire thing is all fucked up. I go to doctor tmrw, and still dont knwo what LP to choose. defaulting to whistler cuz of the organics.. i guess.

I would hope they can grow better than me.

Thank you...Much Appreciated...Diffusing.

I started this thread to advise members of what is happening with the Federal Government, Heath Canada and the Conroy(or Allard) Injunction, set/put into force by the Federal Courts Mar. 21, 2014. But...For some reason it has changed direction, almost immediately and become an extension of the "MMPR Thread", discussing prices and what the LP's should be doing to accommodate the patients of Canada.

I don't understand these posts below...They make no sense and are completely of the topic of the "Appellant's Factum" being filed.

The above topics are all covered the the "MMPR Thread"...https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=280404

I would really like this thread to be as I intended or other members will not get the intended information about the "Allard Injunction" and this is "very important" information and should not be "clouded' with other issues. Peoples lives could be affected if they are not getting all the information available to them.

Thank you, everyone...In correcting the direction of this important thread, back to its original topic and task.

thx for the heads up, and its noted/appreciated. i think the frustration of the new system just gets the better of us sometimes.

I agree we should keep this thread on topic, and thx again!

Budha1:
Since the part of the gov't's appeal is based on LP and street prices being identical I thought I would point out that this is FALSE..Even by the oz...the street price is half what most LP's are charging.
I'll stay out of this one, and wait for more court action

Thanks for posting this stuff btw.
