How different are your smoking habits now compared to 10, 20 or 30 years ago?

I still take a few knife hits every day and have for over 20 years. I do like these new badass bongs.

I do have a pen I vape wax with and I do like that a lot.

I started growing/smoking in the backwoods of WA State so quality was always around as long as I can remember.

I guess a big change is the amount of available genetics. If you know how to look in the right places the sky is the limit. Anybody can get AAA+ clones & seeds.

And the info out on the net now days blows the old high times mag days away no contest! I love to read what you guys are up to! So much infotainment and bud porn man I tell you what!

I've smoked since 1970 and nowadays I smoke less during the day and definitely smoke less after dark, but still smoke in the morning after chores are done, in the afternoon with a few beers and later on after dinner..just enough to catch a light buzz. I still shake my head in disbelief when smokers here rave on about looks, flowering times, taste etc...to hell with all that, the only thing that mattered to me 30 or 40 years and it still matters to me now is the quality of the high.

I also go through periods of a month or two once or twice per year when I don't smoke....the first week is a bit rough (sleep problems, snappy as a pit bull, loss of appetite etc)..the only difference is now that I choose to have a THC holiday, absence makes the heart grow fonder they say and it's true with Cannabis too.

No more scraping nasty ass resin from shitty metal pipes and getting a weak buzz followed by a headache...we'd smoke almost any kind of crappy weed back then when we were teens.

Most of the dispensary weed is underwhelming, but it still beats the hell out of being dry and having no options if you can't grow.

I switched to vaping about 6 months ago and, although I don't mind passing around a joint from time to time, I much prefer vaping over smoking. It seems to be a much cleaner high and virtually no smells to hide.

30 years ago we didn't know the difference between a sativa, an indica, or a hybrid. We do now.

30 years ago the herb we got was ALL seeded and had fan leaves mixed in with any buds you might get. We smoked it all except for the seeds and stems.

30 years ago our choices consisted of seeded green bud we called "sensi", or seeded brown weed we called "brown weed". NONE of it was spectacular, but they all had their own unique flavor that we enjoyed.

30 years ago we would smoke a LOT of herb in a sitting because it wasn't that strong. Today I take my hits one at a time, and chill the fuck out for like 20 to 30 minutes before I take any others.

Today we have the vaporizer, and I LOVE those damn things! They really bring out the flavors and aroma of your weed, and the vapor doesn't fuck up your lungs or cling to your clothing the way smoke does. I still combust from time to time, but the vaporizer is KING for me.

30 years ago I was told cannabis causes cancer, kills brain cells, and is physically addictive. Today we know ALL of that is absolute BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!

Growin' old, contrary to popular belief, is actually pretty damn awesome.

I'd highly recommend it...

i'm 60 and retired. i smoked my first joint in 69. i got my first bag of pot a few days later and sold my first joint the next day. until that day, i had no idea that i was a natural born bidness man.

when i was 15 i smoked everyday that i could, and still do. the only difference is, these days, with my medical marijuana card, there are no dry seasons.



i mostly vape these days and eat canna caps as opposed to joints and pipes.

there was some real sweet pot coming from mexico and columbia way back when. those who say there wasn't just never got the good stuff. we kept a lot of it in phoenix. lol

i grew my first plants in 1972 just before i went into the military. in those days, some believed that you had to hang the plants roots and all to get all of the thc into the buds. we've come a long way.

i was in thailand in the 70s (great weed) and had spent some time in hawaii smoking some beautiful multicolored, great tasting and looking pot. man they grew some nice stuff back then. i'd get a pound of some nice hawaiian once in awhile and not sell it. you'd have to see it to believe how beautiful this stuff was. the thai was a better high (a soaring, no ceiling, sativa high) but the hawaiian varieties were 2nd best back then.

I don't drink as much as I used to and there are fewer and fewer others to get high with.. in a state like florida, growing mmj is akin to cocaine trafficking and murder. parinoia. I'd hate to get popped after all these years..

Well, I vape more these last 5 months. Don't think I will go back except in situations where vaping is not a option.

Started at he tender age 0f 17...was a brown bag with seeds but I have not had as good of weed since that first day....been chasing that high ever since. Some 38 years now.

Nowadays I drink a tallboy and I ready for bed.

Said testament to a once hearty partier of days long since past.

Yet, I amble on to the bitter end with a smile on my face and a wand in my hand.

well I haven't scraped a bowl and smoked that shit so they have improved a lot...lol nevermind the thc levels have shot up..prob smoke the same amount but way better weed ..except for the sativas... I need to get growing some again..i used to get some fine sats when I lived on the east coast as a kid..it pays to be a fisherman sometimes as a lot more than fish comes in on them boats...some killer hash too
