and about defoliation, wich seems to be a trend with some:

In a sog setup, regardless the size of a single budlet plant, no defoliation should ever be done.
When a sog setup is scheduled for maximal yield and low maintenance, it is done by controlled Nitrogen cutout in the nutrient solution.
The plant in such a setup will loose all her fan leaves(regardless her size) throughout the flowering phase. All energy that was stored in her leaves, was then transfered to the flowers.

The female cannabis plant stores as much energy as possible in her (fan) leaves when she grows(vegetative).
She doesn't do that to make herself green and sexy, no, she bunkers nutrients and sugars for later on.

She keeps this behavior till the first weeks(strain depending) of flowering(generativ).

When the stretch has stopped and the budsites appear, its like a trigger in her. She concentrates the flow of nutrition towards the flowers and slowly but sure depletes the fan leaves of the stored energy, starting from below.

As the energy(nutrients) stored in fan leaves, is much more faster available to the flowers than everything else(its in the plant allready not in your fertilizer bottle), you dont want to take her natural turbochargers off.

Its all about the N cycle in the plant.
And it does not work when you overfeed(N).

So in the end she defoliates herself without any loss of energy!
beautiful, ah?

This is applicable to every strain, not only sativa dominant.

You may think im crazy but this darkroom finally stole my nerves.

I keep now just the metal frame to hang the light.

put 3 eu norm tray 60x40, i like these:biggrin:

i concentrate now more to outdoor prep so flowering will be reduced to 1 tray soon.

look the new delicas, beautiful vigor and health after total submerge in the tea generator.

Great show rüdiger! ;)

I like your clean and effective style, and the way you experiment new things
You have very good intuition, good hands and good mind to tame the sativas indoors.
Can't wait to see what you can do with the haze x thai! :)

The hashplant 90s was a dark leaved afghani hashplant, guess the lime green color of your zamal hash comes from the african sativa side.

Best wishes and thanks for your great updates.

wow rudiger, thats a hell of the plants! i admire your courage
with so many plants...and your work of course!
you are doing great job and your style is amazing..
imo you have always something to smoke:biggrin:
take care bro and stay high..
couple days i smoke fresh malawi and i feel much better
then before, how the malawi high respont to you?

R

rüdiger

Thank you both for motivation.
those words help, keep me controlling the chaos:tiphat:

The PHT cuttings rooted very good, one (PHT#1) in 5 days:yoinks:
hybrid vigor, eh?
I air prune a bit and charge with worm tea, when my new lights come this week, they go to flower/sexing.

ZamalHash: there is a special lime green sensi hashplant pheno, i would kill for, thats why i asked:biggrin:
but nevertheless im very happy with her looks and behaviors so far.

'couple days i smoke fresh malawi and i feel much better
then before, how the malawi high respont to you?'

shes my new 'GoldStandard'. stronger under fluoro than corecut from hps.

Her smoke is quite rough but dense, sweet and woody(uncured).
she gave me a very 'deep' but positive high, lost in accelerated thoughts, no timeframe, start is fast and rushes a bit. calm down lean back.
the body part is a bit 'drunken' and uncontrolled but in no way tired like a classic indica. long duration for uncured samples.
unique.

i named her dominator, for power and vigor, shes ommnipotent

its all gone:biggrin:

but she'll be back very soon...she'll be back...

The Zamaldelica fem (Z#1) is just insane.
She is so expansive. in lung and head. its a little like salvia d in first rush - cold and vibrant, even head and body. not for pussycats.
best controllable sog structure i have seen in sativas
and shes fast when scheduled.
the reg. delicas i planted now are total different in their early stage...

Sounds killer, I like Salvia d very much and thinking of a canna strain of similar effects just makes me want to have her.
Possibly the new zamaldelica will be even better!

Z#1, preparing for outdoor
their substrate is straight from the worm bin, lets see how they respond.
when i harvest a plant i now trim it over the worm bin, 'netgain' -lazystyle-;)

@koondense,

dont get me wrong its not strong like salvia, but it has a certain 'energy' that reminds me big of those first 30sek or so when salvia d start...,(tingly, cold and this push/pull sensation in your head and body - the part that can freak you out when you dont let go)

I can only guess its the 'fear' or 'terror' part others have experienced before. Introspektiv.
A friend smoke her and had a 'funny' experience with his control of breath and heartrate....

not very euphoric when i compare to malawi or the euphoria in haze hybrids.
very fast onset but also long duration, a bit tired in the end.

In the first picture they do look as if they're going some place, don't they?

But then I really want to see how they handle the 51st N parallel climate, unless you have something up your sleeve to talk them into it!

orfeas, now i looked long at first picture, and it came clear right now.
its their natural trait to grow away from homo ruderalis, in case of me they fear the draconic experiments i have in mind with them;)

this is experimental, so i change the lights now.
but nah, no other fluoros, no HPS, no plasma, no MH, no LED,
rüdiger goes CDM-T:biggrin:

i got my hands on 3 Philips CDM-T modules, industrial floodlights, all integrated electronic ignition.

each of them fires a Philips MASTERColour CDM-T Elite 100W/930 G12

Draconic? Ney!
If I were you, I'd rather go with Solonian laws...

Mann, they've gotta love the state-of-the-art illumination!

And that beast sitting on the leaf, is that a Tsetse fly?

they will recieve forcefeeding like a goose before christmas, poor little pussies:biggrin:

after one day, the cdm-t seems to double the rate of photosynthesis.
I have to re-schedule the nutrients for all of them, or use more media in same square but higher pots, or light a bigger area.

second is the way i choose:biggrin:

the beast is a european dogshit fly, very agressive and penetrating in their behavior, harmless when she touched the ~300°C security glass:biggrin:

smoke Z#1 and go outside.

This is such a good thread.

I finally found a way to get my micro 'delicas
to express the fox tail trait at will. No more thick indica
bud structure. Holy fuck, so nice and pungent.

Not pretty until you get used to it.

Carry on.

Dropped Cat, Thank you!
