Yes, no focusing on what could have been. I'll have plenty of time to correct mistakes in the Fall. I don't think it's gone all that bad really. So I had to pull 2 plants early. It could have been worse.
I got the Master Kush in jars today

Oh, I've had a little of the MK. I cut a couple of buds early from the middle that popped nanners. I ditched the fruit & dried it properly. It was bitchin! And I'm vaping. I don't smoke much, but I just got a new waterpipe & wanted to try smoking. For the first time ever, I got a vivid candy flavor from pot smoke. It's something like Pez - first hit anyway.
The smell drying has been very strong citrus. However, after a half day in jars, it got way sweeter and lost most of the hard citrus scent. Can't wait to see what it smells like tomorrow!

And before I forget - just one quick thing. I'd read once or twice about pH meters being thrown off by RO - like nothing but RO. I thought it was a weird idea, but sure as shit, RO knocked the meter off by .5 pH. I noticed a difference in the measurement times between RO & filtered tap which was significant enough to make me re-calibrate. Going from RO to filtered tap freaked the meter out.

Almost 101 days. That's how long the blueberry made it. I got in for a moisture check this morning & discovered she was all dry. I've been doing trichome checks before every watering & this one told me it was time.

I didn't realize how big she'd gotten all back there in the corner by herself. She's about a perfect circle from above - merry-go-round of budness.
And this is after an hour of removing fans. And that is after removing what I thought was most of the fans. This plant has totally blown me away. Over the last 3 days, she's damn near put on half her mass before that time it appears. Just amazing. And gorgeous. It's been a long day, and I don't have the inclination for proper pictures, but the fan removal was pretty enjoyable. I've never seen the plant under regular room lighting & it's pretty awesome.
And keeping with newly-established tradition
I've decided to keep yield figures to myself. I probably don't need to explain why. But I'll say that this adventure exceeded my expectations by a great deal. Perhaps I'll get to share this with some of you in the future. I sure hope so.
But for now, I'm calling it good & taking the Summer off. I have plenty to keep me busy.
I'll stop back by with a smoke report & photos once everything is dried & cured. I'll spend the Summer working & looking around for genetics. I plan to get going again once things cool down - probably September or so. I can't wait for that. I have a few tweaks I'd like to make & some new strains I wanna try out.

So now that the light has been off for a few days I realized the master kush is wrapping up 2 weeks of curing.
Here's the gang without the trim & blueberry (still drying)
I just got around to trying the AKCL and diesel recently and wanted to mention that briefly.
I tried the AKCL first & the last I had of it was with a bit over a week's worth of cure. It is definitely approaching the cherry-lime moniker, yet still has an orangey flavor. The high is very potent and stuck me on the couch for a while.
The diesel I just tried for the first time last night and am enjoying now as I type. Ho. Lee. Shiyot this one is stout! I'm fucking torched - sort of feels like my eyes are crossed
. Giggles. The flavor is mellowing from citrus to something I can't quite place. Pineapple maybe?
I think I mentioned before that the kush seems to be the clear, motivating plant of the 3 so far. Of course that may change, but the kush has been curing for 2 weeks and may not change much more.
All grins so far. Can't wait to try the blueberry!

Man, no doubt. It's a good feeling. It's pretty awesome to 'watch' the scents & flavors change as the curing goes on as well...definitely a high point of the experience.
One other thing I've noticed is that these are all vaping at very low temperatures - which is a trait I always liked in a strain. The flavors last longer that way & so do the bowls.
I hope I can stay away from the dispensary weed for good now. This is so much better.

I finally got started putting the blueberry in the jars for curing today. These are some of the bigger tops off all the plants. That's what I get for taking the Master Kush early, but didn't feel I had much of a choice. It's all good though. Overall I'm quite happy with the results.

They are mostly delicious. I've gotten 2 in the freezer already. Blueberry just got started curing - haven't even sampled it yet. I guess this is self-control week.
Master Kush is getting an extra long cure, so it'll probably change on me. AKCL tastes okay but reminds me of some perfume I've obviously filed away from a bad date or perhaps a DMV trip on first opening the jar. I'm wondering if I should pull it out of the freezer & maybe try to cure it some more.
But the diesel. Ooooooooh the diesel. I've been around good pot for 20 years & this is the best smoke I've ever had! Not only is it the most pleasant smell in the universe, but it also tastes wonderful & puts me in outer space - gotta grow this one again. I think I'd be okay with it as an only strain. And I think I'll see if it's available again come this Fall. I doubt I'll hold it to one strain though. I had too much fun with the variation & now that they're done I'm digging having a variety.
Ima see if I can't hold out at least a week on the blueberry, but I'm starting to think that won't hold. I'm in a celebratory mood for a few reasons & almost predict that tree will fall by midnight

I did. It doesn't disappoint. I'll wait 'till I'm done curing for a final opinion, but so far so good. That's a good thing because I have twice as much of it as I do anything else
