I'm going on 7 days, and I only have a few dying to get out.

I scuffed seeds, and placed them in a glass of 6oz carbon filtered water and .5ml h202. I removed them last night and placed them in a wet paper towel; using carbon filtered tap water with .5ml KLN. Sill not much change today. Temps have ranged between 70 and 85 degrees. Tomorrow will be 7 days!

Should I switch them to a sugar solution? Not sure what ratio? I've heard good and bad doing this.

These seeds were scuffed, but not well enough!

Should I remove them and use a scalpel to break the shell or should I just re-scuff them and try again?

These are very valuable seeds; not just to me, but to our community.

I had some seeds not long ago that I scuffed but still wouldn't pop, so after waiting a few days I took the seeds and very carefully popped the shells open by squeezing them, a day or two later I had 100% germ

For seed germing, I wouldnt use anything but plain water, bottled water preferably, carbon filtered water can have very low pH. I measured water from a brita filter once and it had like a 4 pH.

Cracking the shell usually works for me if they don't break open on their own. Just make sure your hands/tool is cleaned before doing it.
 
Also a bit of patience.

I had a few that took a week to pop, oddly enough they were very vigorous after that.

Nature has its own speed, in our iphone age our instant gratification has spoiled us, but is there anything more pavlonian that the sound of thunder or the vibration from tectonic plates?

The patience is still there, these tiny seeds are perfect reminders of that.

Im having issues too at min, getting on me tits cos its tester beans so Im looking a prick on line as I started a diary on em and the bastards aint popped.
Gonna try some gib acid if they dont pop soon.
I've popped 6k+ beans and never had a problem.
Previously my worst was 8/10 popping on my second grow and now I got 9 fresh beans that dont wanna do anything

i use the old tooth trick ,,,,,, pick up each seed and place between your front teeth with the seem of the seed tooth up, and gently apply more and more pressure until you hear/feel the pop

some seeds just have incredibly hard shells, so hard they just dont pop without intervention

good example is some sourdieselxblack rose seeds i got for basically nothing because as stated in the auction there was germ issues with the seeds !

none poped naturally , after 4 days i forced them open and got 10/10 !

grape crush is another that are hard to pop naturally !
