Really nice Hush. Joining the game late but in time for the end of the show! I see what looks to be a bit of foxtailing on the tips of your buds. Is it? I had a bunch of foxtailing on my plants and I figured it was because they got too close to the lights.

Thank you, and yes, there is foxtailing going on, and it seems to be contained to the buds closest to the light. So I have considered that, yes.

I just can't raise the light any more, really. This plant will be grown out better under a 1000w next time, with plenty of room to grow.

Finally just caught up to the present with this thread.. the buds look great! Only the leaves seem to be affected by the ph problems.

I was able to raise the light a bit. So hopefully any problems related to too much light, like the little bit of bleaching there's been, will go away.

Lookin' great hush! I'm about a week or 2 ahead of you in my current grow. I'm seeing some foxtailing as well. I have recently taken the light up a few inches.

Here is the cheap ass pen I'm talking about. I will proudly buy this pen over and over again if it keeps lasting 2 years at a time. Best $20 I ever spent!

ya i was buying those until i found the same thing with no name online ebay for 6 $.. and its just as accurate. comes with ph4 and ph7 calibration powder u mix with the correct water . but i had calibration liquids so i havent used em yet. but still same exact ph pen.. for 6 bucks.. with shipping free.. and it lasts 2-3 years at a shot.. i leave the plastic over were i read the ph.. just incase i get it wetter then it should..

but i have a hanna 60$ and a blue labs.. that was like 90$. and this one outlasted both of them.. for soo much cheaper.. i just bought 3.. took batteries out of 2 of them.. and store them until i need.. now for the price of 1 20$ i get 3 and have backups sitting around just incase i feel like its going to go .

and when u open one of these no name brands.. its the EXACT same parts.. wires. setup.. everything. i dont bother spening a ton of ph meters anymore.. because i did.. and they didnt last for shit.. my Truncheon PPM Stick from Blue Labs.. has lasted 4 years.. without a problem at all. tho??? wierd right?

Right on, man, thanks for the link. For me, it's just much easier to drive 5 minutes down the road to the hydro shop and buy the $10 pen with cash, but if I had to mail order then you can guarantee I would go with the generic one.

For the most part, and this is not just hydroponic related stuff, but almost anything that is based on electronics... Generic stuff is made in the exact same factory in China (or Hong Kong or wherever) that the name-branded stuff is made. They are made on the exact same assembly line, too. Sorry to pull the curtain back and reveal the truth, but it's true. I used to build computers for a living, and it didn't take long for me to realize that if I contacted the factory where nVidia made all their graphics cards, I could get the exact same thing, sans nVidia logo, for 25% of the price.

No I never have. I suppose one of these days I should do a side by side and see if it makes a difference. I'm willing to try anything, frankly. I'll look into that!

yea its the shit lol I flushed with budswell and molasses last round and whew! the taste was sweeter than usual ..... after this round without it I can really tell the difference kinda added amore body to the buds you know.
