just because you haven't heard of it means what exactly? The game is evolving and changing... most of you will not survive the thinning out process...

a Dud is not a weak plant... you have no idea WTF your talking about... many people with exp have come forward and already thrown in their 2cents...

Don't trip homie... DUD is coming to all of you soon... you can only overcome it by trashing all your genetics and starting over ..

good luck... once your shit is tainted... its an uphill battle the whole way....

Do some more research instead of acting like cheerleaders for cuts and you might have a leg to stand on...until then... I welcome the thinning out of all the whack ass growers ... its about time mother nature started using natural selection in the growing game...

:tiphat: BTW... DUD can be just one small branch on a whole plant.... but once you've seen it... unless your genetics are immune to it.... its just a ticking time bomb until all your shit goes into HEMP mode

Has anyone else heard of Duds - dud? or HEMP mode?

claims like these need more credibility and overall community consensus to merit any value - in my eyes.

very curious to hear about this new epidemic coming to us whack ass growers!

great vibes shadow - not everything has to be a competition like the suits want/created.

Sounds like bs but who knows. If it is true then it is a disease that can't be stopped from spreading? And it can't be avoided? And does this only apply to cheerleaders?

Duds are very real, broad mites are motherfuckers. Get ready to stock up so,e nasty Chems cause broad mites may be multiplying at a garden near you!

Broad mites inject a toxin that can effect the plant for a bit but everything I can find says the effects do go away overtime.
The documentation I've seen that says this has to do with vegetables not mmj so I'm not sure about the specifics of the damage in canna.
None of it says the toxin spreads like a virus or are persistent in reused soil...
Not the stuff I've read at least. I'm always open to see more information from reliable sources

my experience with the sour dubble in 2009 differs from whatever it is you're reading. i have seen it spread, and i did not see it subside much less "go away". not until i killed everything.

i am not a decorated scholar, nor do i have a mountain of documented pics of the dudds i grew (i didn't want to take pics of ugly fucked up plants then - my bad), but i know what i saw. i know what i was 'supposed' to harvest, and i know what was 'produced'.

if you want a first hand look at what a dudd is, alls you'll have to do is outsource some plants. i won't take in new plants now because of my experience with dudds.

maybe its 'just' broad mites. maybe its a virus/disease. whatever it is.... even if it is 'repairable', no fuckin thanks.

Thank you for the info Greyskull !
I'm not seeing the symptoms you were though.
None of them actually no yellowing no curling just a plant that didn't turn out so good.
I've said it several times I think storm shadow is jumping to conclusions.

now whats crazy...
is the sourdubb never showed the 'tmv' traits that the from and other plants did
but it shot out some bullshit buds
i guess looking bad i wish i would've swallowed my pride and taken pictures of the buds as they were on the vine

good luck
hope you don't get to experience dudds

Im guessing Dud is a virus that doesn't have an official name but has visible symptoms.

Guess what Storm Shadow - for your pleasure - I got duds! :D

Well had - i'll have to go look :)

shit i had something similar recently, but I thought it was just stress from transplanting soil to aero. heres what i had and the dud pros can respond:

got cuts of fire og from a very trusted source. they were in soil about a foot or so tall and alot had small leaves. guy told me as soon as they get treated better they throw giant leaves and go nuts. ok whatever right, this is the guy who got me the raskal and that shit was bomb. so i gently remove soil from root ball by soaking in a bucket of water and light agitation. transfer to netpot with hydroton.

fuck if they took forever to recover. I foliar sprayed b vitamin, tried every trick i could think of to relieve stress. they were woody and tiny leaved, brittle with curled yellowy leaves. super tight internodes. purple/red/brown wooded stems. I kept removing the shitty tight noded shoots, treating them like root suckers, or like picking off mini flowers from a plant that went into flower too soon and youre trying to get it back to veg mode. Ive seen this before I thought, looked to me like a stressed bonsai reaction.

that is what I figured it was, a bonsai super picky and unhappy plant not wanting to make the transfer out of soil. but ive done that before with other soil plants, yeah they shock for a minute but they recover.

anyways it took about 6 weeks of me trying everything and nothing to get them to come out of it. finally they did, slowly and not all at once. new green pliable branches with normal sized fans. fucked my whole timing up, nothing in the room is even its a wreck. I am in week 2 of flower now so we shall see if final product is affected.

at first i thought storm shadow was just fucking with that guy over in his thread about gg#4 but then greyskull chimes in too. so now shit im kinda second guessing things.
