Hello Ic Mag,my name is Moe, I live in the east bay, more towards Livermore area. Just wanted to introduce myself, I was born here in these beautiful states but come from a very cultural family from the land of indica that starts with an "A" . High five if you can guess it right haha. So I guess I always had that cannabis gene waiting to be activated lol. One love and can't wait to meet some people!

Its nice to meet you..

My parents are Spanish, grew up in Mexico. Then they came to the states looking for a brighter future. They settled in California where I was brought up. I couldn't imagine leaving, so I've been here ever since.

Hey Choom,

I have never tried growing, only bud loving. I am mainly a sativa kind of guy, but indica never hurts before a good night sleep right ? I also LOVE the pungent skunk strains and the citrus rush of the lemon strains. Anyone else, what is your favorite type of strain to grow/smoke?

My parents never thought discuss pot it since it was something that could potentially get me in trouble. I was stigmatized and ill informed about the matter through D.A.R.E. and school propoganda. Yep.. I was a naive child. I thought I knew it all.
Been smoking since the nineties before all of the mainstream hype. Some of the realest friends and most trusted people I've known loved to smoke and they were the ones who taught me about cannabis.
I was skeptical about it at first. I hit the most tiny nugget of "Mr. Nice" ( I'm talking like a calyx) on a DIY soda bottle pipe. I was baked! Since then I noticed how school was better (helping me with my childhood enemy of serious adhd). That was how I realized weed had medicinal value as well. This also led me to question everything I thought knew .
After high school all of my friends went their own way (Michigan, France, Maine). The only connection that i knew at the time was a cousin in Stockton ( a neighboring city). His dealer gave me reasonable priced meds. He was my connection for a while. Since he moved I had to find someone new.
During this time weed was legal for medicinal use with a prescription, but I was never aware of this. I was always used to it being treated as black market. as far as I was concerned in the nineties, here in california, it was unheard of to ask for a prescription. I mean good trees were everywhere, and everyone was cool about it. So it wasnt very long to find some trees, Especially since the bay is right next door.
The thing was I got of hold of some mislabeled meds, and what was suppose to be a clear sativa, turned out to be a stupfying narcotic indica with a tiring come down. Despite my efforts, the stone was making it hard to function and focus during school. Unfortunately, my grades that semester weren't so great.
Since then I took a break from smoking and school, focused on making a living, and spent my time learning things outside of public schools and colleges. There is so much to see outside the life of a scholar. Im spending much of my free time soul searching and finding out my meaning of life.
I have much love for this plant and I admire the skill of cultivation. Respesct to all of the people who currently do. In no way can you compare a criminal in jail to a compassionate grower (Its still technically illegal here in California). I have decided it is safer to grow my own supply than to risk purchasing improperly grown or unkown cannabis.
To answer your question choom, I prefer sativas, for helping to relax some of my adhd symptoms while keeping me functional. I dont mind indicas for night time smoking and insomnia. I have a few packs of Ace Seed genetics (mix and purple haze thai) since Ace seems have a lot of 100 percent sativas.
longer flowering periods and slower vegging sativas means I have my work cut out for me. The PHxT is my forst grow, and i expect mistakes, since I have still a lot to learn about growing. I'm taking things by the grain of salt as they say, but with the help of IC forums, i feel confident that Ill be on my feet in no time.
Wish me Luck, O.
