hey snook- that hydrofogger looks asskicker. my ghetto diy fogger uses a 5 disc fogger in a 5 gallon bucket. it puts out close to 4-5 gallons over 24hrs and is usually more than enough except when then outside temps are in single digits and the gas furnace come on every 20 mins.
if you were to leave one of those bitch on for 24 hours, with a continuous feed line, youd need a mop to get the water up off the floor. if you were to put your hand ??? a foot above it when it is making mist, water would drip off your hand inside a minute or two. but a humidistat would take care of the problem of being on too long. unfortunately, that is about a $450 deal.. BUT!??

Hola jammie,

Purple Haze Malawi and tropical sativas overall don't tolerate very well strong temperature fluctuations. Be careful with the hot temps on the top of the plants when the lamp is on. Kind regards!

hey there dubi. trust me, hot temps aren't my problem. ambient air temp is 70 and plant leaf temps run 75-78 (i have this neat infrared thermometer). night time temps can drop as low as 54 so i'm expecting some purpling. did a flush today so i hope to put some new pics up shortly.

Hi Jammie are you feeding them anything to make them fill out and bulk up? I used ozzie tonic monster bud supposed to be all organic really made the buds bulk up.

hey guys- sorry about the suck ass pics. i can never seem to hold the camera perfectly still when i hit the button. i have a buddy that takes amazing pics. i'll get him to do the pre harvest shots.

i use the ionic line (grow, bloom and boast), cal-mag with iron, pondzyme for beneficial bacteria and root enzymes, and protekt silica, mostly as a ph up. thats about it. i keep my ec around 1.0 and let my ph drift up from 5.5ish. usually add back about a gallon of plain ph'd water daily.

hey dubi- i just noticed that you were able to correct the post title. thanks alot. now on to some other great news. it seems that the final phase has begun- colas that had been upright a week ago are now bending over with weight and suddenly everone's glistening with trichomes. the smell has increases as well. pine and sandalwood seem to be predominate. i think i'm around week 12 from the flip. dubi- do you count flowering from the start of 12/12 or first pistils?

a couple of weeks ago i trimmed some spindly inside branches and was going to throw them away but noticed a few small buds so i put it aside to dry. well i found them last night and did a wake n bake today. WOW- real piney smell and flavor. the high hit after about the 3rd toke. very soaring high. for 11 weeks it had no jitters or anxiety. very mellow, lasted at least 3 hours. nice sunny spring day, temps around 60, went on a 2-3 mile walk with the dogs. it s a very up and functional high. can't wait to see what the finished product brings. on 4-6 more weeks!

Hi jammie,

Trichomes look indeed amber in the pic at 12 weeks, but by the look at 10 weeks i would say your plants still needs 3-4 weeks more, is she ambering in all the flowers or just in a part of the plant ?

yep the entire plant was done. all my plants sure seem to look more like tjo's and tangwena's malawi than they do terpene's purple haze malawi. the other two plants seem like their still 100% clear. the one that finished early was right under my new 1k super hps eye hortilux. it also started flowering a week or so before the others. now for the reallllly good news. it was the smallest of my 3 and it yielded 7, yes 7z's dried and in the jar. my previous high was 6 oz.

That's a solid looking plant. Purple Haze x Malawi was one of my highest yields as well. Based on your description, I would say that ones more Malawi - the one I ran I selected for ultra thin, hazey leaves. The one that was run outdoor was much quicker (by 4-5 weeks) and had thicker fatter leaves. Expect the other two to finish up in the next few weeks.

week 16- the 2 remaining girls are getting heavier and heavier but they still look pretty clear when i scopped them today and less than 20 brown pistils. i'm thinking they may go 20 weeks. maybe i'll drop the light from 12 to 11 hrs on.
