Here's a Petrolia Headstash that's from 10+ year old bean stock. My friend found a good enough male to make beans. I've read a lot of bad things about PH and even my friend said recent stock is dog shit. Following plants from my friends med garden and testing to see wht he's putting outside this year.

Here's a Paki Highland Kush from old stock also. The PHK will get polinated with the PH.

Tonight I'll visit another friend and get pics of the Cherry AK and the Columbian Verde Rojo(?) I pollinated. The Cherry AK is an old cut from old bean stock. I'm looking forward to seeing how the AK47 x CVR comes out.

lol You have much the same frame of reference as I. Did take a day trip up, a month or so ago.

Got a bit of 'pucker factor', on South Park roads. Blowing snow packed to ice,,, and a strong crosswind. Just hate that drifting, weightless driving. lol

Looks like winter is hanging on this year. Oughta be a lot of run off too...... can't imagine what, or if, the Caddis/Mother's Day Hatch will be.

Do you spend the summers up, or do you just go 'trippin'.

I used to live in the mountains and travel all over that area all the time for work. I moved down to the front range not too long ago for work and a change of pace though.

Certainly is a change of pace. Not a good one for me though. But I do 'suffer' through the winter down here.

Just wanted to stop by and say hi.
My son and I drove many thousands of miles to get to Colorado this winter. The mission was to gather first-hand info on what it's like to be a grower in a legal state, AND to get the Harlequin cut and bring it back east to make sure clones of this medicine are shared freely with those who need it. Both missions were accomplished. :)

Colorado is one of the great states, as far as natural beauty goes. It was a really magical, epic visit in Colorado. You have a wondrously beautiful state. :) Try not to take it for granted.

I'd like to thank the person who helped me by hooking me up with the Harlequin clone. I know he visits this thread, or at least used to, so, dude, if you want to say who you are... :)

Our route north through Colorado had us taking rote 285 north. Now THAT'S a beautiful drive! And we were blessed with no clouds, perfectly clear weather. AMAZING! Anyone out there who knows this road, know this... Crazy Composer and his son drove that road northbound and had a spiritual experience the whole way north! It was a collection of short moments with my son that will be hard, ever, to match again. hehehe

The night before we got into Colorado, we holed up in Santa Fe, NM. I walked into the hotel at midnight. There were two men in the hotel lobby having a personal party. They were drunk, loud and very, very outgoing and friendly. The guy at the hotel desk seemed cool with them having this party. I thoughtto myself, 'Jesus. Is this what the American Southwest is like? Is everyone going to be this friendly?'.

Anyhow, one of these guys is a half Japanese, half hillbilly hybrid from hell (his own description). It was this guy who shoved a bottle of beer at me when I first walked into the hotel. He stuck the beer up for me to take and introduced himself by saying, "Hi! Have a beer! We're from Colorado!". We quickly got to talking. Sat on the couch over by he fireplace and chatted. Turns out these guys owned a unique coffee shop in Pueblo called, Solar Roast Coffee. They use solar energy to roast their coffee. Don't ask me for details, that's all I know. :)

They made me promise to visit their shop the next day (by this time we had already chatted for quite a while, and since the topic quickly turned to the Colorado weed scene, I told them I was a grower/canna writer who is looking for some info about the high grade, underground weed biz in CO after legalization. They filled me in on that the best they knew how. The answer is pretty much as I guessed it was. Being from CO, you guys probably don't need me to tell you what I found out about that.

Peace, pot, stay high,
cc

Visited a friend over the hill and got a few pics of the AK47 and Columbian Verde Rojo that were pollinated. Pics suck and don't know why. Found out he tried to pollinate in the room a week before I did and had an accident and blew pollen around so more beans in process than I originally thought.

AK47 - this cut is stinky, sticky and potent. Still yielding well after all these years and a crowd favorite.

Here's the Columbian and looking forward to sampling this one. More subdued fragrance yet quite intriguing.

Pretty sure I can get some beans of the AK47 x CVR and CVR x CVR for the server fund. Don't know about the ones below though far as extras.

Got more Columbian pollen and may dust the PH and PHK. Also found out another friend in the area has some genuine landrace from the Herat region of Afghanistan . That will at least get hit with the PH.

Visited another friend in the area and he's testing many varietals. This plant has a great resin profile, wonderful fragrance yet the internode spacing is a bit whacked to say the least. Here's Dark Daydream...

Try these w/ a magnetic bit holder-

http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200431370_200431370

Home Depot also carries them.

If you don't already have one, these are little monsters-

Or buy the same brand as your current battery tools for interchangeability. I own literally hundreds of tools, and that little impact driver is the best thing I've ever used for deck/drywall screws. Almost unbelievable.

I've got DeWalt, impact and drill. Came with 3 batteries, but one died in a bit over a year, so no warranty. Add to that the second one is getting low on operating time maybe. So not real happy with Dewalt 20volt batteries.

Love the tools, but batteries are almost as much as the set.

Staying one night in Santa Fe isn't even scratching the surface as far as the typical SW....and characters that live there. Get away from ABQ, Santa Fe, Las Cruces & Roswell....the main metropolises...you get a totally different vibe. Same goes anywhere in the 4 Corners.

And yes, Solar Roast, hands down, beats other coffee roasters!! Using a Helios 5 solar electric roasting system, which draws electrical current from a PV fed grid-tie in order to power large electric heater, it's a hybrid electric-gas hybrid.

Awesome beans!!
