I'm doing Substra for drain to waste in a mix of rockwool cubes & hydroton with a shit load of add ins-
Rhizotonic, cannazyme, boost, CaliMagic, and I just finished the pk 13/14
The sticker shock on using canna was real especially after using a discounted tub of Veg+Bloom for veg. I went to Canna at 12/12 using the recipe passed to me by a friend who consistanly grows the best cannabis I've ever had the pleasure of burning.

EC has been about 2.0 but have just hit the point in the schedule where its ramped down to 1.7
I've been adjusting pH to the 5.5-5.7 range

Thanks a lot! That was pretty detailed. I assume the recipe is proprietary? Any photo's of your set up? 50/50 ratio of RW/Hydroton? I assume DTW in trays?
The price is no more or less than what is currently running now. H16
I've been passed some V+B Dirty and am using it for veg. Although I wasn't a big fan of some of the marketing tactics of the company I will go forth and say it seems to be working well / (In Veg).

I work 12+ hr days when I work so the ease of the Veg+Bloom is a big plus
I have used it for flower with some MOAB and it did a good job. I made sure to do an adequate flush and the results burnt well and tasted decent. It just wasn't the best I've had.

Not sure if the recipe is locked down but it is pretty close to the feed schedule Canna has on their site.
The cost of the Substra A+B isn't so bad but the add-ins like the Boost are PRICEY even ordering off eBay.

My set up is a 42" kiddie pool with four 4gal pots on the corners all under a Gavita 1000. My ceiling is 7' so I dropped a 4' x 7' wire mesh panel on top to do a quasi SCROG. The Gavita seems to be lighting the 4'x7' canopy sufficiently.

I "cycle" mine up and down, starting at 3ml/g up to 5ml.g then back down... like a steriod cycle to get clean results. Hahahahaha

A good friend gave me a single seed from a bag of Hindu Kush he picked up about a year ago. Who knew it would frost up so nicely (4.5 weeks) under 6 CFLs? I almost feel like I'm neglecting it.

So I did a very poor job with early sex determination but I couldn't be happier about being wrong. All the plants except "T-#3m" are in fact females and the one male is shaping up very nicely. His flower clusters have yet to fully mature so I don't have a good idea what type of bud structure it has yet but all the other attributes I'd like in a CBD male are there.

Looks like they are liking the Gavita. I've been looking at them myself for awhile but going to go with Sun System's Air Cooled Double Ended hood instead. Only because I already have enough problems battling the summer heat and there is no way my system could keep up with the Gavitas.

Gotta friend that up and moved to cali with her husband last week. She worked as a dog walker in our town. Theyre settling in San diego, i think theyre in L.A. right now crashing with friends while they look for a place in sd. She said she is prop 215 patient now. She doesnt know shit about growing, and i never even told her i grow till she was leaving. Now i understand that herb is everywhere there, but i was wondering if there are any particular dispensaries that have a good reputation in SD? Also any places have good organics? Does every dispensary really have legit og/chem/ecsd etc..? I have read lots of negative info about dispensaries, fake cuts, bugs...but since im not in cali it didnt matter. Now my friend is being bombarded with info left and right, i wanted to help her sift through the trash and get the best/healthiest herbs(i dont think she ever heard about concentrates, well she probably does now lol).

Any advice appreciated, and i dont belive i violated any tou but please let me know if i did. Thx! Sooo jealous of you guys. Shes feeling the place out for me now, i might move at the end of the year if the dog care market proves good. Thats what i do in my town too, and its good business if you put in the work. But the weather sucks so id rather do it in cali!

Best advice is grow her own. The dispensary scene in SD is shot right now. There are only delivery services, some of them are fire, I am not going to drop names on here. A quick weedmaps search and checking out the reviews on there is pretty much all she needs.
