Ty for all the well wishes.

My fav breeder BOG is finally going to attend the Denver event, so I will as well, my friends with Stay Concentrated have promised to arrange entry for me, and if not there's always the scalpers, I want to shake hands with the man who bred half the best seeds i've grown in my life, and I won't miss the chance.

If you're looking for Smurph, i'm not hard to spot, i'm large, i'll be wearing a black peacoat and sunglasses with round frames like in my profile pic, and perhaps a fedora, i'll either be kissing BOG's ass at his booth or dabbing it up with the boys at Stay Concentrated.

My former dispensary does not have a booth (they would have if I were still their grower, it was going to be a surprise, too bad for them), he plans to hang around other people's booths wearing his gaudy walking-advertisement style t-shirt with his new partner in tow, a woman who I really think has done some stripping in her day, because I don't know anyone else who wears stiletto heels to a business meeting. They have no entry, except perhaps an edible they didn't tell me about, they're only attending because the owner likes to feel like he's a part of the scene despite the bad reputation that is spreading every time he does something like this.

Needless to say, anyone wearing one of those tie dyed monstrosities should be mocked incessantly, make them the jokes of the event, everyone always wonders if whispers and snickers are about them, and in their case they will be.

I'm going to the cup and personally enjoy non-donation/solicitation related gifting. As far as patient carrying limit, I can hold a decent amount. Anyone know how much I can bring in with me to the cup? Is this a bad idea?

:yeahthats
in the past i've brought..... "copious" quantities to the cup, always accompanied with my paperwork justifying the amount.

They'll let you bring in as much weed or edibles as you want, but any real food or water will be confiscated :(

They also confiscate cans of butane at the door, so fill your torch BEFORE leaving the house, even though there are plenty of booth people inside willing to top you off.

Edibles- a bad idea for retail?

Edibles- a bad idea for retail?

Does anyone support the suggestion that maybe it's a little risky for retail outlets to be selling edibles, considering the attention that's being given to the legal status of pot in CO and WA. I'm speaking only of people who are being given access to edibles and maybe are only occasional or first time smoker/users.

This is not about the two events recently in the news that supposedly involved edibles. My concern is a possible event and the backlash in the news resulting from an incident, lets say, from a tourist ingesting an over dose and the high profile news story as a result. Could be just a trip to the ER or maybe they are at DIA for a flight home and want to get rid of a purchase before security. About half way thru the flight the gummy bears start to really kick in and the flight is diverted and passenger is taken to the ER and news media has a field day. Think about the liabilities that the seller might face. Are edibles really worth the bad PR at this point in time?

I think it's just a matter of time before the FDA steps in and sets regulations. Is it not enough to at last have cannabis legal for growing/smoking without pushing the envelope. Unless your using edibles for medical purposes, I really don't understand why anyone wants them anyway? It's a annoying high and goes on what seems like forever.

If i'm wrong about this, someone please explain

You have some good points and I feel similarly as you do about edibles. I think what it will always boil down to though is the almighty dollar.

I've been there with tinctures for sure.

My concern is that federal action could ricochet back into the medical side and who knows how far. Just seems like a lot of risk at this moment.

I made up some butter that was a bit heavy with lots of ground bud, incredibly strong. Half teaspoon was pushing the limit and 1 teaspoon was a 6-8 hour rollercoaster ride at 6 flags over hell. lol

I've been noticing a pattern with the worst "edibles freak out" reports.

Edipure.

Just saying.

Day one was fun but I arrived late, I met my lovely BOG, purchased seeds from his own hands, met some lovely people, and will be back tomorrow.

Rain helped thin out the crowd.

A "Happier" 4/20 to all Coloradans!!!!

Not much into crowds, so won't be there for the celebrations.

I'll be having my own 'semi-private' 4/20.

Been waiting for this for over 40 years!!!!

All you 'furiners', get your shit together, so I have more places to visit.
