The Trans Siberian is showing awesome growth (in my opinion lol).

And the strawberry blue will be a nice clone mom me thinks :) But thats a ways away. here she is:

She didn't seem to mind that little bending exercise at all - good stuff!

What do you think of coco so far? I'm seriously tempted to give it a shot, but looks like a learning curve & more equipment.

I actually like the coco a lot so far. its pretty airy even without any vermiculite or the like, though for my big grow I am going to use a mixture and see how it goes. And yeah she seemed the love the exercise, and considering she was there a day and a half or so, it seems like she is doing a funky growth with her 5th and 6th node.... Almost looks like it was FIM'd. I will get pics of it when I am more sure though and it fills out

Okay! So for Arid and Rob; I just finally was able to afford a ph test kit and the Ph up and down. I get home, and I find one MAJOR inhibiting factor as to why my plant seems to grow slowly; local water PH is above 8.5!!!! O_O Holy mother of basic water D: So got it dialed down to 6.0 now, and hopefully I see a huge change! (hoping at least haha!)

Yeah, that's not too surprising. My tap is around 8.

Alright well for my nightly update; seems like the fan leaves are starting to tilt weirdly (imo at least lol). Nothing has moved or changed about light, position, time on, anything... But hey as long as she is healthy :)

Nightly update;

It might be hard to see, and with my phones camera its just really blurry if I try to get an up close pic, but the top node after bending her over seems to be growing into a ball. Well, lets see what happens lol. :O

And the strawberry blue is coming along nicely in my opinion :)

How are the roots? Usually an indication of top growth being asymmetric, "in a ball"....is from root problems. Have read coco can be cantankerous. Take it to the infirmary w/ those knowing coco issues.

That's why I do soil...get a good mix, good aeration....the plant grows.

Thanks Arid, that was actually a really good read for me! I am watering every other day, but if his info is right then I can definitely bump up my watering schedule for sure! :)

You may need to bump your watering frequency. I don't do Coco, but it may be drying too much at every other day.

I do it in dirt....mostly.

Well, Nightly update :) Day 26 veg for the trans siberian. the weird growth has me a little concerned but if it turns out for the better that I am okay with it. Anyways, Arid this is the way it was growing weird like I was saying. Any ideas? Posting it in the infirmary soon.

And day 10 for the strawberry blues growth! hopefully she will prove to be an excellent momma plant.

Well, the Trans Siberian is getting really bushy now, no real change in verticle growth yet though in about a week. Hmmm that bending exercise might have been to early and stunted :( Oh well lesson learned. Arid, from now on I shall take your advice and only LST on side stems and not the main stem lol. But she is getting bushier than what I thought would happen, so who knows maybe by some small miracle I will still get a good harvest :)
Day 28

As for the Strawberry blue, she seems to be growing too. I cant wait for wednesday when I get my 1000w and tent going to really get her growth boosted. And then her and my next run of 3 Trans Siberians is going in the tent! (Will be keeping track of that grow in a separate thread)

Hey Trypp.. she's looking good bro! One tip I heard is that to avoid transplanting yet maintain good environment for seedling growth is to put a barrier around the seedling in the soil.. something shallow like a plastic cup with the bottom cut off and only water in the cup area for the first week or so. Also, to use something like worm castings and vermiculite for the top 2/3 thirds of the pot and something like fox farms on the bottom. While the roots are developing, they are in a low/no nutrient layer, but as they grow down, they naturally pick up nutes from the soil. If done right you won't ever have to feed your auto. This is just what I've read. I will be trying it out soon.

Nice info fnd Grynch! Too bad it wont matter for very long yet... But that gives me a great idea for the clay for my next run. I will test it out on my next run, and if it works out well ill post it :) Oh btw anyone following my hydro grow, the tents up on my other post! Oh and day 32 for the trans siberian :)
