@CARE giver - dank.frank can tell you more about the Digi than I can. I believe it was a Bx1?

K+ to all that suggested a C99 cross. I think they would compliment each other really well. Any proven C99 studs out there? Who currently has the best C99 line?

How bout some of these? ;) ;)

Dear Goat, Best luck in creating a wonderful hybrid with your outstanding Maui plant. I am going to grow some Nirvana Maui my next grow, but I would prefer your plant in my organic soil. Peace and respect MON.

Yeah, Apollo would be another excellent choice to sex up the '77. I don't think I've run any Apollo genetics since Apollo Mist from Rez...like 10+ years ago.

I believe Nuggetshiner's Cindy might be a very good choice, but it seems out of stock... Mosca's Cindies look just like my GN03 f2's I grew out some time ago. Really want to try them to compare, but everyone seems to rave about them :2cents:

I can't wait to get the '77 back in flower. I'm much better in soil than hydro so while it's hard to believe she can get any better, I think she's going to show even more potential next grow.

There's lemon/lime, grape and pineapple C99 out there, Dutchgrown and Rez had the purest studs, I recall, they made the true F2's, Wallyduck and Mosca have/had some good ones too, e$kobar as well.
When thinking of Rez and sativas, can't help imagining the very electric SSH he, amongst some others, held, matched to your Maui.
Some might think it's blasphemy to breed Skunk into the Maui. But those highs & flavors.... Like the Motarebel Apollo13 suggested, great fresh fruity taste, fast, easy and 7-8+ rated high

I have been searching through 20 A11 BX1's, which are very Genius dominant. So far a few nice males if youre interested .

Ya know, FLG, that Maui of yours does definitely shows some similarities with Mr G's Cherry Bomb. The CB has more Sativa influence IMO, but I can't help but surmise they have some common ancestry. I've grown the CB, and crosses of it. I've got a nice cross going now, and some more CB seeds and crosses. Nice pot. And I see similarities. That dark leaf and heavy serration come to mind.

I saw earlier in the thread that you had some CB going at one time too. Might I suggest you cross your Maui with the CB? A male Maui on a female CB specifically. It would be interesting no doubt.

Woot! Thanks for the votes!

So I've got 2 confirmed '77 Maui males to make the f7's. Would it be best to use both of them open pollination style or keep them separate and do two diff batches...Dad A and Dad B?

T

Terps

I would personally separate the batches as its only two males, see which one produces the better progeny.

Yeah that except don't toss the beans from the 'bad' male. You could always introduce that line into the other line if things get bottle necked too much in future filials. If really an F7 you have quite a few filials to go, if doing conventional breeding opposed to back crossing, before you might see some deterioration in the line.
