Dyna gro RO water and calmag plus?

Hi everyone, I recently bought an RO filter and changed from GH flora to the dyna gro line up. My question is should I be using the calmag in conjunction with the mag pro? And if so how much? Growing in Dwc and flowering under dual 600w hps. Thanx for any feedback.

Hi,
FYI, I'm in soil and I combined the Cal Mag with the Mag Pro and my plants didn't like it. Now I alternate. If you decide to try it I would suggest that you use half the recommended dosage to start out, wait and see what the plants tell you. Are you also using the Pro Tek? Also keep in mind this is what Botanicare recommends so check your ratios on the Mag Pro and other nutrients that you are feeding:

Hydroponics: Use with preferred hydroponic formula. Desired range of nutrients are:
Nitrogen (N) ….. 160-250 ppm
Magnesium (Mg) ….. 45-75 ppm
Calcium (Ca) ….. 160-280 ppm
Iron (Fe) ….. 2-7 ppm
Good luck! :tiphat:

Neither calmag nor magpro are needed.

^^^ I agree, neither are needed,, in soiless anyhow..not positive about Dwc.
I ran dynagro for a few months, and to be honest, it can grow nice plants but the end result was not that good at all.. get way better tasting buds with other nutrients.. just my opinion tho..it might work out great in dwc..

Like, h&g... or botanicare kind, and yes,,
Advanced.. basically I've tried over 8 lines and I would place dynagro right at the bottom for flavor..not bashing it,, just didn't work for me, in my medium ..

So you're saying other brands use 'better tasting' raw salts to formulate their foods?

Wow, hb.. still trying to start these nute arguments, huh..
I'm not saying I know the science behind it, but I do know different nutes will give u different flavors.. funny thing is,, I tried dynagro because of ur posts..
Now it's hard to take u seriously at all, sir..
Keep talking down on people,, keep sounding so smart.. soon u will have lots of people letting u know that ur beloved dynagro produces poop..and that they won't take u seriously either.. it may be complete,, but the flavors and aromas are lacking..
Anybody that had truly done side by sides, know the truth.. and not a side by side, where u fry the plants, because of user error, and then try to blaze the company because u didn't use a tds meter? Don't know bout u, man.. think it on dg payroll personally.. but maybe not.. don't care much..
If u had sensi bloom, big bud, bud candy, overdrive, and used them correctly,, u would see what I'm talking bout,,,,
Peace,,

Well, when you figure out what makes those raw salts more flavorful from one company to the next, be sure to update us all. I for one would love to know ;).

First of all, your 5 bottle system is overly redundant. Secondly, 'bud candy' isn't strictly raw salts so if your point is that 'additives' can help with flavor, then I'd agree when it comes to highly refined mineral-derived foods. Is that what you're trying to say?

Just using those 5 bottles as an example. Aquaflakes with multizen and bud xl and top shooter can achieve awesome buds too.. or botanicares kind series," 3 bottles" will do the same...

Sorry to Jack ur thread up, pokingsmot.. I prolly shouldn't have said anything with dude on the thread already.. but, yo.. to b honest if u weren't happy with g.h, I doubt u will be happy with dynagro as a line.. do a lil research on the subject and u will see I'm not b.s'n u.. all in all, u can grow beautifully healthy cannabis with just about anything,if u know how to grow, u could turd on a plant and proceed to water only and it will come out green and healthy.. BUT the end result will be unpleasant I'm sure... n yes, if u grow 10 clones with 10 different nute lines, u will get 10 different flavors... some may be only subtle differences, but they will be different.. anyhow,, peace out..have fun

You're not changing flavors based on the nutrients you use, flavor is genetic. Certain 'additives' in certain situations can enhance flavors but they will not change them.

There are many opinions here at IMC. I would recommend getting in touch with the folks at DynaGrow. I know they like most companies have a website to promote their products and they always have a contact page where you can write to them. They will have all your answers from the people who have designed the product

I don't use either, regularly, but will add to single plants that may need it on occasion. I grow in promix and use dynagro. Don't have problems with taste, smell or yields.

U sure love to nit pick don't u? :)
Like I said, it may b subtle.. yet different..

I'm sure dynagro works awesome for some folks.. glad it does for some. I just think, if u are getting good results with dyna,, then u would be killing it with some of the higher end lines...
Give it a try or don't.. I know the difference,, that's all that matters to me.. Peace out,, and I'm gonna get with pokingsmot in about ten weeks n see what he has to say,

I'm all about improving what I do. If you've got some recommendations for better NPK ratios, I'm all ears. In the meantime, I'm liking what I've settled into thus far with the base nutrients and no calmag/magpro:

U will not get me to go there, lol
You don't need anything else, man.
Ur killing it with dynagro.. my bad for suggesting anything else..Forgive me,,
I'm slow...
