You're the first to flower these.
The phenotypes will all show themselves in time.
In both The Purps and GDP, the taller skinny ones were more the top shelf weed.
As far as yield goes, the skinny phenos have the densest bud.
May look like a lesser yield, but the scale says not so much.

Nice stuff so far with both.

Check it out SG and folks. Scored a two stage 6 cfm vacuum pump for a c note. :woohoo: . Now i need to make a chamber and viola! Wax at its finest. I would never give up my bud cuz i just luv the old school way to smoke. But i do like my night time vape. Dark Dionysus made great wax. I have GQ fixins ready to go but want to build a chamber first. Any diy ideas?

Hello Minions! First of all let me thank you for making and keeping this thread alive, it was great pleasure reading throughout it!

I see many of you into organic growing and composting with red wigglers, but are you guys familiar with the "Black Soldier Fly Larvae"(Hermetia Illucens)? I have read its compost capabilities are very good, they are capable of turning lots of food waste into vermi-compost VERY quickly. Also a huge bonus is that you can feed them dairy food waste that otherwise you wouldn't put in you compost pile-its being eaten so fast it doesn't have the chance to spoil and smell bad, oily food discards, meat and manure of course.
You can get all the info using a quick google search there is so much about them, chickens and fish are CRAZY for them! There are also few cool videos showing how fast they turn a pile of scrap food into poopies.

Cheers, let me know what you think.

Welcome to the Minions thread.
We all enjoy gaining knowledge and sharing it once it is known as facts.

Feel free to post a link on the black soldier fly larvae.
All organic tools and tricks add to the knowledge base.

Spring has sprung, many Dark days ahead.

Dog shit pheno, funny stuff.

Makes me want to pop my last Aqua Marine Dream, and make me a repeat Dionysus breeding.

Some basic info http://blacksoldierflyblog.com/bsf-basics/
Compost in three days http://www.steamykitchen.com/21602-make-3-day-compost-black-soldier-fly-larvae.html
"Worm Bin Owners should know from the start that worms and BSF don’t mix. Worms basically do not like the environment that the Black Soldier Fly Larvae live in. Here is the reason why:

The fly larvae are very active, so active that they’ll make your compost bin soggy, warm, and in some cases slightly acidic. These are not ideal conditions for raising worms in a Worm Bin. If you raise worms you’ll want to play close attention in terms of the environment you maintain in your worm composting bin. Take care not create an environment that is conducive for the BSF. This means you’ll want to watch what you put in your worm bin in terms of nitrogen-rich waste, which will attract the Black Soldier Flies. Existing fly larvae can be lured into a feeding frenzy under moistened bread or cut open vegetables. Every few days I would recommend that you check your Worm Bins and if necessary remove any BSF Larvae that might have taken up residence."(from http://www.edthatmatters.com/compos...lies-bsf-and-their-effect-on-earth-worm-bins/ ).

I cant see the adult flies staying in one place long enough to infest a worm bin unless its just overloaded and untended... great links otherwise... I considered BSF composting but to be honest I didn't try because it seemed like keeping the adult fliers in place would be a tedious chore. Do you have any problems with em?

Since we are on the topic of dion, I was wondering about the patents of dion and what they were like. And dion her self, what was that stuff like? The old thread is gone and my memory is bad these days due to the high intake of nocturnal buds haha. I'm curious about what this ravnus holds because of it's very different parentage from my other darks but it should be something truly unique.

Dear Seaf0ur, i am not composting with BSF just sharing the info i found! From what i read the flies will stay around(just keep adding daily scrubs) but that doesn't really matter as the larvae are doing the work and there will be plenty. Also its a great way of reducing animal manure volume to about a half.

Meh still cant edit...
One more thing, there is a liquid left behind after the composting , which is great for making/adding into the organic beneficial tea.

Original Dionysus breeding as follows.
...........................DP Blueberry
.............Aqua marine dream
...........................Tangerine dream
Dionysus

.............The Purps #2 (IBL Mendo purps)

AMD combined a fox tailing Tangerine dream of decent quality and high yield, with a good flavorable blueberry with dense nugs.
This breeding produced tall lanky plants with the biggest leaves I've ever seen.
Up to 14" across and 18" long, buds were tight and dense.
These were fems.

I then combined my #2 Purps pheno.
This is a shorter, thicker pheno that purpled heavy.
These were also fems.

These produced phenos with a range of plants with a structure not typical of any of it's parents.

From what I grew and gathered from smoke reports from testers is that many were very high in its stone quality.

FYI Only 24 seeds were recovered by myself.
12 were squandered by idiotic mistakes and never grew.
12 were grown, 5 myself and 7 by others.
Mine were good, but not good enough for a permanent spot in the garden.
I had #1 #4 and highjacks cut.
#1 was momma of Dionysus queen, and Highjacks cut was momma of Ravnus.
Kept seeds from both, shitcanned them all for more projects.
Ironhead still has the last of those originals.

I do think the line has merit, though the breeding was a frankenstien.
Worthy of a larger re-breeding, IMO.
