Rooms look good Arm!!! That extractor is something to be envious of as well. I just picked up an oven and a legit vac pump...Gonna blast through stainless for now, but a Terp III is in the near future for me...

Hoods are gay btw ;)

I'm actually gonna do a run with hoods.. I wanna change things up a bit, and I'm thinking it'll allow me to get away with another run before I need to shut things down for the summer. (NO A/C or Dehueys)...

Arminius quick question regarding your nutrients.....are you using the CalNitrate from Jacks or are you using an alternate source? Ive found a couple different options online for much cheaper, but was unsure if theres a huge difference. All seem to be 15% N and around 18%Ca

Heres one for example
http://www.amazon.com/Calcium-Nitra...id=1396822605&sr=1-3&keywords=calcium+nitrate

thanks for your time
I use JR Peters salts at this point. $50 for 11,000 gallons of solution, doesn't get much cheaper. I prefer to trust JR Peters, if for no other reason than customer service, and accountability.

Hoods are gay, and I should be ditching them after the summer myself. By next summer, I will be running sealed vert CO2 FTW!
My extractor was pretty much given to me in exchange for product. I like the fact that I can do more than one shower of the product. I am not worried about pulling fats and lipids, since the majority of the extract will be used in Medibles...

No problem!
Looking at the link above, it is way more expensive than JR Peters. 12.99 for a 5# bag, works out to $130 for a 50# bag shipped. You can get the combo pack with two 50# bags of Hydro, and Cal Nit, for $99 plus shipping ($50). If you split the shipping, that works out to $75 for the 50# bag of Cal Nitrate.

Thanks again for the quick response.....didnt even think to do the math!

I was lookin at the smaller bags since ive never ran Jacks before and didnt want to invest in the larger bags without giving it a whirl first....granted were talking less than $200

Harvest Has Begun, well, sorta...

Harvest Has Begun, well, sorta...

I chopped the 7-8 GDP over the last couple of days. Only one made it above the screen, but the penetration of the 1kw lights left only the smallest of calyxes at the base of the stem unfinished.
picture.php

Shitty macro... I will be investing in a light box, and a tripod after this run is in the bank.
picture.php

Tomorrow I will be chopping the 2-3 OGHC, after that, I won't be chopping the C99 until next weekend. I will fire up the TrimPro for that, since there should be a **** hair over 2 units to trim. A week after that, I plan on chopping the SLH, which should be 4+
I have started setting aside the first round of outdoor plants. They are in 3" blocks on a single layer of rocks. Most already have roots coming out of the net pots. There is a mix of my stable, and the goal is to top them at least once before going outside onto the veg tables, under my covered patio. I should have plants outside after I finish cleaning up...
picture.php

To the far right are 12 OGHC, that will go under 3 lights after Alpha is clear. There are also some extras that are likely to go outside after giving up enough cuts (GG#4, GSC, etc...)
picture.php

The rest of Alpha will be picked from this table. At least a light or two of SLH, and Headband. There are also more GSC, WiFi Alien, etc...
picture.php

More in the next post or two...

I rearranged the clone and mother situation. I set up shelves in the shower, and the mothers off the floor, and with more lighting.
picture.php

I will be putting up a shower curtain to contain RH, and heat, and more lights on the top shelf for the teens.
picture.php

Tonight will be the first dark period for Bravo, and will update that room each Monday.
picture.php

SSOG will be fucking retardedly overgrown...
picture.php

The Headband will easily stretch and fill in this screen, on the verge of overgrown...
picture.php

To be continued...

The Deadhead will also easily fill the screen after looking where the two in Alpha finished.
picture.php

This light is the one that has been holding me from the flip. There are two Tahoe in the back, and two WiFi Alien in the front. They are both moderate stretchers, and as the RH increases in the next week or so, they should be charging in time to mostly fill the screen. There is one dominant of each diagonal from each other, and I should be able to weave to offset that, and end up with a solid screen.
picture.php

That's all the photos I have for tonight, but will take some more harvest shots tomorrow.

Forgot the weaving macros...

Forgot the weaving macros...

Took a couple closeups for you to see the weaving that I have been doing. I will be following Jack's practice of weaving every two days for the first three weeks.

Its funny arm, i also recently started with my first horizontal grow in several years. Im weaving as well. I got 3 of 4, 5'x5' screens primarily filled. One strain is is growing much slower than the others.. Im gonna be flippin soon. 5' is a bit to big though. hard to reach into the middle.

Hell, 4' is almost too much of a pain in the ass if you can't get between the screens.
I will be redoing the plumbing and screens in Alpha in a couple weeks, and I am considering 3' x 3' screens suspended centered under each light. The canopy can spill over and end up as a 4' x 4' canopy, but can still get between to access the back row.
Going this route, will require knowledge of stretch for each strain. Luckily, I have ran these strains before. The goal is to have plants loaded that will need less than a week before the flip.

ive been weaving for a while now. it's the only way to make the forum cut yield anything decent indoors, although some strains dont need it.

is the the benefit of weaving vs a conventional scrog the fact that you have the ability to "place" branches in locations vs just pulling them under? Never tried weaving myself, but have seen Jack and a few others doin it

First timer for weaving, so can't really speak to the benefits per se, but a solid canopy is my goal, so it made sense...

Considering stretch, I probably over filled my scrog as far as veg times go, but I dont think it will hurt yield in the long run. Id rather have it all filled up nicely and prune anything that wont produce,

Are you using volybally netting? I just have some 6'wide plastic trellis I got from the grow store.

I am using horti trellis netting. 5' x 50' packs that have 5" or 3" squares. I used the 5" in Bravo, but I will be trying the 3" netting on Alpha. The 5" squares are too big I am thinking.
