The Not So Solventless Clear Concentrate From Harborside!

I completely agree, MEMED. It's sad to see that even the medical cannabis industry, the capitalist mindset trumps advancing the industry and providing free information to those wanting to help contribute to the improvement of home extraction methods. I have always been willing to share my methods with anyone, even customers, who wanted to take the time to learn them, even though I know that I could very well be losing future business. I would much rather someone wanting to show off some absolute they made using methods that I taught them, than said person blowing themselves up, because they were not aware how to safely extract. I understand that knowing the tech behind "the clear" is not a safety issue, but withholding that info for the sake of knowing a secret or to protect Harborside's exclusivity of this oil is a practice in douchebaggery.

I don't have any specific knowledge of what the clear is doing but if you want to accomplish what is being discussed here - separating components and recombining them later - this is one way to do it. I believe chromatography reference standards are made this way.

Look at you average dirty dab rig, all that stuff stuck to the glass is condensate that has been boiled off by the nail, then re condensed by the cooler glass, with some help from the water (if any). A crude fractionation rig some of us use every day for other purposes...

I think its more about ego in our case, ie the Online discussion forums world lol...We dont need anyone to help confirm what we know already, or can discover ourselves with some effort... I doubt there's any magical machine that you can press the "Extract" button on, and presto....And if there was, It would likely be something only big Pharma or someone like Harborside could afford to invest in...They are non profit, so they have money to throw at this. I think we are forgetting how undesirable their concentrates are. There are numerous ways to go about producing a solvent free product. None of which are very enjoyable or tasty whatsoever.

There certainly is no guarantee that anyone else knows what their method is unless they know someone that works for The Clear, but in that case even they would not be able to give out this information on a proprietary system such as theirs.

Im done feeding others egos, but interested in those who are contributing to the thread all around....

Cheers

Harborside uses this method but they aren't smart enough to figure out how to scale up using new/better technology.

Tickle, you are awesome with your hints!

MEMED you are a beast! lol I know what you mean about it fitting the bill, I'm going to take a closer look I think that TMB has been extremely generous thus far considering the position he's in, (i wouldnt want to be that guy either lol) but then again, as I said and as he's been quick to do thus far, he did not confirm that you were off base this time around. In fact he had something positive to say, so based on RB's request and the information provided it's possible that this is the closest you'll get to a YES from TMB. hahaha who knows Ive been wrong plenty of times before.

Microwaves put out electromagnetic waves which changes to kinetic energy (heat) as it vibrates the molecules. I understand that it might be less damaging to the material than directly heating, but how does it make the extract a lighter color?
