Those look super healthy! They will fatten soon enough. I like that stage though, lots of noticeable changes to come within the next few weeks!

I think a lot of people had BM's b4 and didn't know... Your plants don't have to look infested or even unhealthy for you to have them...it just means the population is held in check... it only takes a couple of them though to inject toxins...

If it was a systemic disease of any sort... Then any strong Systemic Fungicide should work...Ive tried quite a few and still got duds....

I think OG kush clones from the med scene spread them everywhere.. 1 microscopic mite can do all the damage it needs to... Plus

Didn't Sunset hook a lot of people up with the GG#4 cut? He had BM's unless he went systemic Kontos....that they were all killed? Its impossible to know....
better question is if you know you have/had issues with broad mites why is he giving out cuts? I know why it's really no different than p.o. IMO if you really gave a shit about the med community and it's all about the patients how do you let that come about.

I dont seem to have any on my plants an I have a clone from the cup.
It is kinda a scary thought though. Reading on the bm seems like once the damage is done it may or may not be permanent in regards to "duding" the plant.
I will know soon enough I guess.
Seems like others have flowered their cup cuts an I havent heard anything saying they were duds or had bm problems though.
I cant imagine it would have stayed quiet long if even one person claimed to have gotten BM'S from sunset at the cup from one of the gg4 cuts.

who are you referring to ? sunset? if so its because he doesent have bms, do you really think infected plants would have won the cup ? lol you guys jump on any old band wagon that rolls by, damn near every grower in cali had bms and a lot of other people got them from them, unknowingly . BMS aren't the end of the world, they can be killed and then you move on with your grow,

I believe someone said it best spray your cuts before you take them inside... period if they came from your own ma...spray'em.. I wouldn't bitch about some pest when you have a nice cut..

I think part of being a good grower is to know how to deal with pest, mold, ect whatever is thrown your way... over time most growers will have to deal with all of these things part of the gardening...DSK

Not saying it happened but in my experience that is entirely possible. The plant pictured below was in the beginning stages of a Broad Mite infestation and turned out absolutely fire. It's yield was affected but it turned out being one of the best OGs I've ever grown or sampled. But it's clones were halfway dudded and came out less than stellar. I then had to throw the cut away 1 generation after those as it was completely trashed by then.

Same cut as above 2 generations later. The Broad Mites were eradicated by this time but the damage they inflicted was just beginning. It took close to a year after this pic for my garden to fully recover

I tried to pm you but you aren't receiving pm's, you mentioned in your pm avid and forbid aren't allowed or are a no no in your garden, well I don't know if any of either were ever used on those gg4 cuts but if that's your rule you damn sure should have asked sunset before you got them at the cup if they had been used. I do know sunset dident have the gg4 when he had bms and I will bet there wasent any on any of those cuts, he runs a top shelf operation
You also mentioned you had a cut that dident grow right , it happens to me all the time, seems theres always one out of a batch that just wont grow right, stunted slow growth, yellow leaves, nute lock. why I don't know but it does happen. it isent bms

Avid and Forbid are fine for new cuts introduced into an existing garden. This is a very common treatment when getting cuts from anyone.. These are used for new 6" cuts only. You would never use these on plants that are established that's not good.

The plant will not have enough time to leach, It takes a good amount of time for the plant to accomplish this . Treating new cuts for 9 days is perfectly fine. There will be no residuals detected when these plants are harvested.

in 30 years I got mites 1x from a cut that was miss labeled as treated. I had to cull both veg and flower rooms and start over. Every cut get's treated every should be doing this until the rooms have been establish long enough with no new genetics coming in. Since everything I have has been with me for min 2 years I have no need to treat anymore. I just treat to keep the gnats/white flies/sliver fish from entering the rooms with a perimeter they cant cross. Some know how to use these pesticides.

Stay away from plants treated after 4 weeks. This is very hard to do. you dont know what your getting. There not going to tell you. just makes sure to have it tested for pesticides if the report is bad make sure to let the person know we do not need poison weed being used by anyone.

Peace
PF

Hey PF, presumably you'd wait until the cuts were rooted to treat them with avid etc?
