They rooted quickly. In 6 days I had big roots. They root super fast.
Im interested in transition from the cloner to the soil.
How fast do they take off and grow when they touch soil from my EZ Cloner.
The EZ-C's clones continue to veg and grow while in the aero cloner.
This is the root of my curiosity.
To see how fast the GG#4 can be.

I just got a 120 site ez-cloner with a chiller. I have never used one before but have taken clones for a decade. I’m about to fill it full of glue and dont wanna fuck up haha. Any tips would be appreciated.

No chiller unless your rooms 80 degrees. You want the temps at 75 degrees. No colder or youll get problems.
You'll love it.
Get your own 2 hole airpump. A big one. And get your own 14" air bubble stones. The airpump and black airline that comes with it suck!

naw it wouldn't be the same, I feel a little better now after meeting with someone at the expo that supposedly has the glue he says he would give me a call,i was glad to find out that she was widespread around MI I guess im just not talkin to the right people

exactly man.. i found the same out.. after trying to find it for a while.. now i have a dude who im trading cuts with after his mother gets some veg time in.. basicly.. hes toppping the shit out of her.. so that we can take a few clones off that thing.. lol..

he said the hype is crazy on it.. but the bud is very special.. hes like its deff not the ONLY STRAIN EVER that is this good.. but its deff a great smoke.. and deff a keeper for sure.. he runs alot of clone only genetics.. and said the GG#4 is in his top 10 all time favorites .. so that says alot for a dude whose been growing for over 15-20 years...

sooo its deff worth trying to get the Clone only.. but the guy he got the GG4 said alot of the shit he used the GG4 reversed on is producing some great females in the offspring.. so who knows maybe try and grab a cross if you cant find the clone.

Be patient guys and she will fall into your laps. I felt the same way because I didn't know so many growers and many of the growers I do know hide under rocks so knew they didn't have it but I was patient and she came my way.

On the vigor topic this girl is a beast I have already pulled 6 cuts from her and could pull another 6 more. I love this girls open structure and she is just a overall happy plant that veg's like beast.

For example I'll take a picture of my glue that I showed the other day and watch how big she is and I have been hacking the shit out of her. She also thrives in any kind of light because I have her under LEDs for veg and she is still flying in veg growth.

My first glue clone rooted in 6 days not in a ez cloner. I suspect my ez cloner glues should be rooting Any day now.

I have a 120 ezcloner site fully rooted ready for transplant 100% rooted,

All I do and have ever done for 4 yrs now is clean the machine with soap and water, fill with hot water add 3 cups of bleach run for a half hr, dump bleach water rinse, and refill with fresh cool water, run machine for another 20-30 min dump refill with RO or dechlorinated water add 1/4 strength clonex clone solution and ph to 5.5 let it rise over the next couple days and ph it back to 5.6-6.0. nothing more nothing less, I had 100% on my 120 which is fairly new, and 85% on my 60 site which is getting old.

Were the parents of this plant some really top notch strains as well (I saw the lineage but never smoked from it)?

I am just trying to understand breeding a bit better. What I'm essentially asking is does it have to be two top tier plants to turn out a strain like gg4? Or can two average plants potentially do the same and it is all luck?

PS I have never ever used a chiller with my cloners, temps get up into the 80F and possibly higher in summer months but still almost always 99% success rate with the cloners.

I think the warm temps in the process of rooting is not a negative, after they are fully rooted I could see some problems if you left them in the cloner too long with high water temps. I try to transplant before the roots hit the water or the roots explode and sometimes get tangled if not managed properly.

I have used them all STS, GA-3 and CS.. I have been using STS the most.

Ive used an ez cloner for a a few years. Personally, ive never had a problem with water temp getting too hot or cold.

Ive always had pretty good success. only time ive had problems was this past winter with the zero humidity. That slowed things up.

But with healthy cuttings, i get about 100% roots in a week.
And IME its a huge misconception that you need to run an airstone or a bigger water pump.

First off, the water pump thats provided with the EZCLONE is MORE than enough.
In fact, i have to keep the water flow restricted on the pump almost the whole way. or else the water sprays at the roots too hard.
Ive noticed that the roots grow way better with a softer spray.

Here's how much I restrict the water flow on the pump

And the other thing is, ime, you dont need any airstones.
In fact, EZ Clone stopped providing an airstone because they did tests and concluded that it did nothing.
Think about it, why would you need to aerate water, when the roots are being perpetually exposed to air.
Plus, i would think the pump constantly spraying and recycling the water would aerate it enough.

OGorganic, my recipe is:

room temp tap water
1/2 tsp per Gal of Dyna Grow KLN
a couple caps full of Ez clone Clear res

and then on day 5 i add 20 drops of General Organic's Calmg.
I also add the Clear Res every week or so.
You can get 100% roots with just tap water in an EZ. But the KLN makes the roots more beefy.

and watch them GG4's. They can choke out your pump if you leave them for more than 2 weeks.

as skull said/ sour dub, world class, just look at the crosses from her so far, DT7, adub, odub that I know of, chem sis is ok smoke but a breeder of very good crosses also, the choc d was a very good cash crop cut, nothing really outstanding but quality none the less.
