if i was a soon to be lp client, and didnt find a doctor with 1 visit

i would be sueing the gov't and health canada for pain and suffering

just the emotional rejection is enuff to push this issue right into full legalization

At this space and time legalization is the only way to get out of this gov cluster fuck. Holly shit they had 14 years to get the system properly set up. Oh we don't have the resources for inspectors blah blah blah, well yah with 10's of thousands or PPL its would be hard but you had 14 years to get it set up.

The war on drugs, pharma and religious tight wads in the gov atm have to much to loose to make it legal but they only have a few years left and by then the country with the most citizen in jail will have cannabis pretty much legal nation wide.

Now if we are talking about generating revenue from tax well we can make insane amount just from tourism. ATM in the US if the border/feds find you consumed weed you'll never getting back into the US. In Canada since it'll be federal the tourists won't have to deal with such problems, unless they plan on going to the US. The tourism industry would boom just on that point alone.

Another way out of this cluster fuck would be for HC to redefine the MMAR, or create a new program that works in conjunction with the MMPR. All they have to do is allow patients a reasonable plant # to grow at home, same as most of the states do. Problem for the most part solved.

Hey marco I was thinking that docs will want a fee but I find 150 to a too much seeing as they charge 40$ for a sick note and I feel like a sick note has more info in it then a script, also If I go get a script for my anti acid pills they just write the script, they do not charge me anything, so why should we pay for this script now that HC says it is to be treated as a script?

What is the average cost for a Marijuana prescription/card in the USA?

I believe the government(Health Canada) is using the American system as the model for the future of Canadian Medical MJ buying, with hopes it will develop in the same way. Example...A LP client sees a Doc, pays a small fee and gets a signature or prescription to purchase Medical MJ. Same as they do in States(no government involvement with the clients), only without a card or the store fronts...We have mail order.

So what they pay in the states should/will become standard fee here in Canada.

Peace...B

PS. We need cards and store fronts in the future, would be a great thing to just go to a store and have access to all LP's and all there strains in one place...Look at what you are buying...Fuck the mail order!!

I believe that the canadian pharmaceutical industry sees the mmpr as a bad joke
if they felt even a little threat from it we would be inundated by anti MMJ ads in the media

Canada is most definitely not using the American system as a model. They may be hoping for the same "success" but they aren't taking a whole lot from them. In a lot of medical marijuana states the laws are set up as non profit collectives between patients/growers/dispensaries. What Fuhrer Harper and Health Canada are attempting is a complete experimental model that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world, focused solely on profits and "regulation". I agree though we do need cards and store front dispensaries over mail order for a number of reasons. Also need lifetime or multiple year prescriptions/renewals for those of us with permanent conditions. And being able to get some concentrates/edibles/hash/oil/tinctures/infusions/etc without having to make your own from over priced "dried marihuana". Too bad the government (Health Canada mostly) is so completely ignorant about cannabis as medicine.

The point I was making when I said watch out for what is happening in Washington State is;
Washington State went legalized along with Colorado. Except the two states are doing things differently.
Legalization sounds good, but, there could be problems like there are in Washington State.
Unlike in Colorado, Washington State wants to abolish the medical program and the home grow option. They say it's legal, just go to the store and buy it like everyone else. The problem is because of the taxes, the shit is very expensive.
Although it being legal, patients in Washington State are in a desperate fight to maintain their rights for affordable medicine.
It's not that I don't trust our federal government or anything like that, just saying we have to be careful and pay attention.

When I was in Denver 3 years ago it was 100$ for the year, in LA at the same time it was 40$ for a year.
