Used botanicare...sometimes i got to a different store since its a mile from my house and grab the atami...you can tell the difference...atami is more finer,better quality.....think ima grab a canna coco bag next time and check it out....i def want to start playin around with mixes tho

The Canna Coco Professional is nothing but the fine coco coir flakes and has had a full buffering treatment while the Canna Coco Natural is a bit 'lighter'.
The Coco Pro meets a higher standard of quality control, you could say.
Seems to be the standard in EU/AUS but I haven't seen it in the USA and I don't know why, but I'd like to know.

hi all, not saying this is gospel but i work in a hydro shop and a rep who comes in reckons canna and biobizz and another i cant remember are all manufactured in the same plant
then the likes of canna import them and bag them up ? We get alot of peaple moaning about shit that shouldent be there growing in canna .
cocogreen profeshional is a good seller aswell as canna pro .

I've had a couple of mystery plants sprout out of it twice. They didn't cause any problems, they only grew to about 2 inches tall max.
Didn't get any responses in regards to coconot. Anyone try it as an alternative to coco?

I tried it once because the rep was handing out free bags. 5 gallon pot and it dried out quick. Kind of hard to water because it would run right through. I was hand watering the same plants in coco once a day and coconot needed at least two for the same size plant. I ended up using the rest as mulch on an outdoor plant. I think it would do fine with multiple feeds and a recirculating res. DTW no way...
There's a good basic test you can do to determine the quality of your coco with regards to how much fiber vs grit is in the product. If you fill a large container and put in say 10L of coco then leave it for a bit to settle, then lift and squeeze out what's on top of the water (which should be most of the coco) the grit will fall to the bottom. The less grit in your coco the better.
I recently converted to coco, for my hempy buckets, and after a little research I decided on Coco Pearl by Cyco. It is pre rinsed, pre charged, and has just the right amount of perlite added to it. It's ready to go right out of the bag. The growth rate has been phenomenal. I'm pretty sure I see skid marks!

Ya right. That canna is $60 a bag where I live. I bought a $16 5kg block of Cocotek and a $16 5 kg block of CocoGro. Tested the runoff when I hydrated them and they are clean. Canna has the same type of HYPE surrounding it that AN nutes did a few years ago "You can't grow great pot without them AN Nutes blah blah blah".

never had a try with canna yet, never had trouble with bricks or any other bagged cheaper brands ,all been good maybe we get better quality down here. canna far dearer though, my cheapest free delivery has been 28 oz dollars, and reused. would sooner use bagged than brick now for ease of use, 5kilo brick of good stuff is still about 11 bucks but freight might cost u 28 bucks. canna 60 a bag last time I looked then freight. and never had to touch the coco except put it in the bloody pot and go.

No hype about it at all. It works super right out of the bag, no rinsing required, pre-charged and roots love the trichoderma. Having said that, if it were $60 a bag here, I wouldn't buy it either. Don't know why it's so expensive there, but that is outrageous. I get it for only $18.60 a bag here, minus a 10% discount, so $16.74 a bag, no shipping, as I pick it up. Worth every penny.

I've tried others, including B'Cuzz, but prefer the Canna.
Someone down under needs to get a Canna distributorship going, as it sources from India, which is closer to Australia. Don't know why the big price discrepancy, but those prices are crazy.
Don't they have coconut palms down there? I would think someone would start a business, taking advantage of the huge price discrepancy. Where do the cheaper brands source from? $60 a bag is absurd. Had no idea it was that much. Are prices for other supplies much more down there also? I guess lower population means smaller market=higher prices, but still seems to be a large gap in the middle that someone could take advantage of.

no canna is 30 at moment with 30 freight , so 60 all up I bag. still cheap when you consider you are not growing lettuce.what ever the cost ,freight is nearly always the same to this lil place. a gavita 1000 is 650 oz dollars not bad.
That freight is killer. No big grow warehouses, I'm guessing?
