That's what most people iv heard talking are saying they think john did a very good job and the Conservative regime just looked like they were protecting big moneys interest, I do believe an injuction is near now only to put a trial off till the conservatives are ousted :woohoo:

See, this is the scary thing about our judicial system. Logic and rationalization are trumped by corporate cronies. And I'm scared that we'll lose this battle because of all the corruption.

In an ideal world, the judge would rule that this is unconstitutional. But we live in the real world... ugh.

I didn't think an injunction was very likely before either but after that court case on tues I think it at least has an honest shot now.

If we are ruled against...Can the decision be appealed?
I'm sure the Appeals Court of Canada can trump the the Supreme Court of Canada, but that would be the absolute end of the line.

If you look on the courts website, both plaintiff and defendant have been ordered to prepare for trial. What this says to me is we are going to get our injunction. At least until the trial is complete. No officila word on the injunction yet though.

I thought they just had to come back with a date as to how long they will need to prepare for trial...

And for once, I hope our court system works as per usual and it takes 2-3yrs to do anything...

is says prepair casue then the lawyers cant have an excuse reguardless the outcome . It doesn't mean anything . But it is wishfull thinking . I feel good about it . And for how long the trial will take who cares we win that too . Right is right . Where going to win all these challenges then the government is going to comedown hard on cities and towns to pass bylaws then we will have to fight that as well
