Hopefully there will be lab testing REGULATION some day so we can have something to rely on. Any one of us could buy a gas chromatograph and start up a lab testing "facility" today. Nobody would stop you or even bat an eyelash. To me, almost all of the tests are bogus ESPECIALLY sc labs. Ive personally given the exact same batch of the exact same product to two people who had it tested by sc labs separately. Both had tops that were very nicely trimmed and unmolested as samples. One result came back at 21.2 and the next came back at 26.7%. Same batch, same strain, and they were both terminals. What is the point of a lab test if they can be that far off with the same batch from the same cut? What does that say about the testing consistency? Is there even protocol? Are they just getting paid to make up a number? I think its all pretty ridiculous. Im not saying there aren't any stand up facilities doing accurate testing, but, i am saying that i think a lot of them are full of shit. I think testing facilities should only test terminal buds(there has to be more consistency this way than just any part of the plant being tested), it should all be either gas or liquid chromatography one or the other, and samples should require 3 tests per results given. I remember when lab testing first started i myself had tests done at 100$ per test. Im pretty sure in reality i payed someone to just make up a number and put a picture next to it and print it out.

agreed crooked 8.

i've conducted the same experiment and gotten very similar results. this is exactly what happens in any growth industry when there isn't regulation, or at the very least, an established set of best practices. the thing that gets me is that these outfits are all calling what they do "science" because they have the word "lab" in the name and because they have a guy whose name is embroidered on a white lab coat with a string of initials after it. that's not what makes science. the VERY only thing that distinguishes good science from the rest of the realm of human endeavor is PEER REVIEW. and the weed lab industry has none.

that being said, at risk of sounding like a filthy shill, i will say that i know of one outfit that furnishes consistently uniform (and low) numbers, relative to the hucksters at SC and steep hill, et.al. at pharmlabs in san diego, they will unapologetically tell you that their numbers are not the highest and that if you prize a high test over an accurate one, that you would be better served to look elsewhere. as maddening as i find this, i also respect it immensely. if you happen to be local to their facility on bacon street in OB (right down the block from seedless), you can drop in and tour the place and even watch your sample being tested. what's more, they are damn reasonable. like $30 for a single test and a very realistic 1/2 gram sample size. in the interest of full disclosure, i am friends with one of the managing partners of sd pharmlabs (even if i don't use their services when i need a high test to help peddle my wares).

...

in other news, i got a nice early birthday present in my inbox. none other than danny danko from high times found me out and hit me up. he says that he is going to do a write up on the GG4 and possibly an interview (which i will definitely lobby to have JW share in, at the very least). according to him, "everyone is talking about the gorilla glue," and yet nobody seems to know very much about it. i didn't realize it until much later when i sorted through the slew of business cards that people peppered me with that night, but he was the first one waiting to congratulate us on the win when i came down off the stage. he also asked for a sample. and based on that little 2 gram salsa cup (and all the fucking buzz), he goes on to say that unless some absolutely game-changing gear drops in the next couple months, that he is inclined to rank the glue very high in his best strains of 2014 write up. now if that's not some love, i don't even know.

he also has asked me to submit any high resolution photos of the plant. i don't suppose any of you fellas know where i might get my hands on anything like that, do you? i will, of course, submit a handful of my own shots (2 grow, 2 flower, and 2 macro). and (with their permission of course) i'd like to tap unc, doc, krust, and PF (in spite of our personal differences) to submit what they think the best of their work is. theirs is hardly the be-all and the end-all though. i'm going to peruse the old thread and this one looking for winners (of which there is no shortage) and reach out to thems that do the strain justice with their grow skills and camera prowess. now if you think your work (or your pal's) is up to par, by all means, drop me a line and let me know. as long as it's not lousy as fuck, i will pass it along to him with the rest.

i have already inquired as to whether the shots he uses will receive a photo credit (which i'm pretty sure they have to) and whether guys must submit their real names if they want credit, or whether a forum handle will suffice. i haven't received a reply as t's only been a couple hours since i wrote to the guy), but if you send me something, please tell me how you would like it written up if he uses it.

now it's back to the grind for me. PM me if you happen to be hanging out in OB or PB and want some very spendy flowers for your dispensary. i'll probably come a calling today anyway. it always is a trip when i unwittingly run into other icmaggers in the course of my work. i'd hate to meet you and not even know whose pics to go back and like. or troll, you fucking pricks. you know who you are. :D :D :D

unfortunately i dont keep the original files anymore so all the shots i have are here on the site.i will have some plants coming into the meaty part of flower soon enough so i can always give it another go.
as far as the pics on the site i told skip to use them however they saw fit for the benefit of the site but aside from that i have no problem with them being used but would rather not take any credit for them.i took all those pics because i thought it was a pretty strain and needed to be shared here...

The concentrate numbers are back already. Not sure if they're posted publicly, but the numbers are legit. A friend's sample tested at 65% THC, 2% cbd, 2% cbg.

just received 9 cuttings of gg#4 and am super excited! is there any way for me to verify these in veg. i got them from a reputable dude who indeed has it and i feel certain they are what they are but.....is there any traits that would signify the gg#4? how can i be sure he is correct in his belief that these are the legit cuts?

A easy trait to tell if they are glue or not in veg they will show that classic leaf curl.

Also if you look towards the tops of the plant where the biggest fan leaves are the blades of the leaves seem to overlap each other which in turn I think is what causes the leaf twist or curl.

Those are distinct features I can clearly see going on with my cut of the glue.

it was guaranteed to happen eventually. i don't think the people running PO right now are horrible people, they just need someone to teach them proper pest management and resistance prevention. from personal recent experience, they don't have broad or cyclamen mites at the moment.

at the end of the day, PO has spread more cuts to personal growers than most. most of their donations comes from commercial dudes picking up 200+ but most of their patients have <6 lights.

i've hated on PO a lot in the past. they're still far from perfect, not super knowledgeable or professional but also not horrible people.

be clean, dip your new cuts in Forbid (they use primarily Avid and Floramite @ PO) and Eagle 20 for the PM. quarantine. enjoy new genetics obtained legally from storefront instead of sketchy parking lot craigslist clone dudes or using the mailman.

i don't think they'll be price gouging. it's like $15 for a cut at PO. when they started stocking GSC it was a free cut as long as you bought 1 other strain.

Whas that a joke??

Im confused why is JW not listed on that, GG#4 is his creation. All of the others are growers.

It's no joke, straight from their Instagram. If you have ig and look at the comments, I was the one stating that it's not supposed to be sold.

I'm a newb to this site...noticed my green go to red after that post and checked my profile so see what that means. Seems I got "neg rep" and a lame ass comment on my profile.

So I expose their shenanigans and get hated on? That's some bull. I wanted to join the gg topic as I recently aquired the cut but I'm out, happy growing guys. Seems like a lot of hate here.

LOL.There is no hate here. I though the post was coming from you so in that regard I apologize. .. Imo JW is the man that deserves all credit. no one else just him.

No, I'm not selling shit and I don't condone what they're doing. I'm getting more negative comments on my profile. I'd consider that hating.

I can't be in the glue society as I can't pm for the invite due to my lack of posts.

How was dude taking credit? He posted a screen cap of a spot selling clones and he even told them they weren't supposed to. I turned his dot back to green for him...
