MMAR extension?

Personally, I'm boycotting the LP's as a protest of how it was handled. Its pretty easy to find Marijuana, I'm not worried I will have to go without. Besides, once this thing dies down, myself and others will be able to continue to self supply.

Anyone is welcome to join with me in boycotting the LP's as a protest.

Thank You
Peace...B

You won't be alone. Some of us have seen this scam for what it is from the beginning, others are finding out as we go, some will continue to sing it's praises despite it all. I have seen in the media and on other forums that patients who were signed up to the MMPR because of timing issues etc are already finding it impossible to afford. Most having spent thousands of dollars already in only a few short months. There is nothing "compassionate", "caring" or "therapeutic" about that kind of financial worry and added stress. Some people are saying it will cost them 60-80% of their total yearly income to stay medicated. Clearly this isn't about patient care or quality of life, it's all about that almighty dollar.

I think boycotting lps and getting some mainstream media to pick it up would have a lot of investors getting out of the business before losesing their shirts. I believe a to of the investors have a drummer boy playing in their ear and hes having a great time spending the investors money . Lps wont last
simple fact there prices are not $1-$2 a gram period.

Black market price

Outdoor

good quality soil for a 4x8x1 foot raised garden bed (224 gals of soil) $200

simple organic tea mixes for for summer ( giga green all purpose 10 kgs $20 and 10 kgs power bloom $20 and Bat guano $25) $ 65

Yeild avg 2 lbs a box as well as 3 oz of hash per box ( ive seen them gain a lot more but lest assume there losses )

just on the dried cannabis ( marijuana ) 2lbs = 908 grams .

cost to produce 908 grams / $265 = $0.30 gram.

Time involved construcrion of raised bed 30 mins
time lugging in 10 bags of peat moss avg 1 hrs
lug 10 kg bag of fert x2 3 mins
time spent turing on the hose 5 mins total for the summer
time trimming the weat in an auto trimmer 1 hr max

grand total time invested under 3 hrs

indoor black market

Same setup as above except you need to run 2 lights over your 4x8 best and get some air moving

4k watts of power used to produce 1.5-3 lbs

4k will cost around $500 for 2 months of growing indoors if your paying for power . Most organized crime grow ops getting free power and this is who can break the lps unless the lps are willing to abuse the /MMPR . Which will happen very shorty if they are being boycotted Mark my words .

@under 800 to produce indoors and that's paying for the power . Still under $1 a gramm

Organized crime cost Rigth at $0.30 a gram .

Even when orginzed crime get power and gas they put it in a name and don't pay the bill.

USA knows this to be true and there last drug war wasn't working so there actually trying to make cannabis work . Canada Must try to make it work aswell not put fear into honest people and have the organized crime and lbs battle for position . In reality people who break the rule get it done faster and when government are involed they seem to run it

I guess I should be more positive, alot of people need it to stay.

With the things I'm hearing and the money involved, it doesn't seem that this program will last past the due date.

I hope I am wrong too, but money talks..

Honestly...it isn't likely Conroy will win an injunction.....the Gov't has covered their bases....If they had the option to go back to the 1-5g per day model....they might bite on that...but this 100g/day growing trees in a warehouse stuff ruined it...AND enabled more than 1 LP to get off the ground I suspect.

The monster grows would have been easy to solved if the gov took "ANY" action to check these places but they did nothing.

Seriously 100 lights with 4 licenses. It took someone 100K+ to set this up not including the operating costs. So these people spend all this money and the monthly running costs to grow for other people so they could have their medicine all out of the goodness of their heart? I'm mean seriously...

The gov let these places run amok because they knew once they had enough of them all they had to say is"organized crime" has take over the program the general public wouldn’t questions the elimination of the program.

The best bet is to grow small, buy it locally and not support the LP"s. After the first 24 months most of them will probably fold by then legalization could be on the horizon.

If money talked the oil and plastic companys would have buried this years ago when they had it underground . People have woke up about refer madness it only took 40 years but they are full of disease and are will to try anything reguardless the government and have relized all the lies ... The old people whom vote are awake . And the youngsters are aswell . This is too big to be scandled no judge can justify not hearing out and siding with us. We have a Strong voice whos been active for as long as I can remember . John Conroy will put up a good fight .

http://www.ctvnews.ca/health/end-of...tients-constitutional-rights-lawyer-1.1734729

Lawyers are in a federal court in British Columbia arguing that patients who have licences to grow their own medical marijuana should be allowed to continue the practice after the program ends at the end of the month.

Abbotsford, B.C. lawyer John Conroy “and his team want the current system or ‘status quo’ maintained for those patients seeking an exemption,” reported CTV’s Vancouver Bureau Chief Melanie Nagy.

April 1 will mark the end of the Medical Marijuana Access Program, which for years has allowed some 37,000 Canadians who have obtained a licence to grow their own pot to treat medical conditions such as cancer, MS and arthritis.

Patients may defy new medical marijuana laws

Under the new regulations, Canadians will have to purchase their marijuana from one of a seven federally licensed growers.

Patients say that growing their own marijuana costs them just cents a day. Buying from federally licenced growers, however, will jack up the price by as much as ten times higher. Nagy, who is in court Tuesday, reported that marijuana from federally licensed growers could cost up to $12 per gram.

Conroy argues that the new regulations violate patients’ constitutional rights. He says the federal government must give patients a choice if they are able to grow their own but unable to afford the drug through a federal grower.

The federal government has argued that the change is necessary to stem growing criminal activity surrounding the program, including robberies at the homes of patients who grow their own weed. They also cite instances where police allege members of organized crime groups have asked licensed growers to produce drugs for them.

Health Canada told CTV News in a statement that the new guidelines will “better protect public safety.”

Some patients, particularly those on disability or a pension, have said they will defy the new rules, arguing that they cannot afford the higher prices and fear that their symptoms will return.

A patient named Joanne, who asked that her last name be withheld for privacy reasons, has been growing her own cannabis for two years to treat the pain of her severe arthritis. She blends the buds into an oil, at a cost of pennies a day.

But under the new rules, the cost will spike to $2,800 per month.

“I know that I can’t afford to put that type of money up to access medical marijuana, but I know I don’t want to live without the oil,” Joanne told CTV News through tears last month. “It has made such a difference in the quality of my life.”

Patients must destroy their plants before April 1, Health Canada says. If patients do not provide written confirmation to the agency by the end of April, Health Canada will notify police, Nagy reported.

Vancouver Police said officers will take a “priority based approach” to enforcing the new regulations,” Nagy tweeted. The force considers methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine among its investigative priorities.

A decision on the injunction request is not expected Tuesday.
