Back in the day...I had a head of hair just like Blake Henderson's. 'Cept I parted it in the middle, and mine was a few inches longer.

I had a centre parting as a teenager. MY Dad's mate used to wind me up about it, saying there is only one place you should ever see a centre parting, and it isn't a man's head.

Now my hair parts wherever it wants... I haven't brushed it since 2012.
Thinking about getting a trim though...if your hair tickles your crack when you tip your head back in the shower, it's probably a bit long.

I'd have long hair myself now, if it wasn't for an unfortunate piece of scalp that has become devoid of potent follicles. It's one of those "St. Francis of Assissi" spots right in the middle of your head. When I look in the mirror, I don't even see my bald spot. Seen from the back or sides, though, that's a different story. Growing your hair long with such a spot looks like hell, and unfortunately my mind is one that considers how something looks to be important.

Regarding the "parting in the middle...", back when I had my hair long, in the mid to late 70's, just about everybody who had long hair parted it in the middle. Just look at any photos from back then, all the parts were in the middle on the long haired hippy dudes.

I'm making the most of what I've got while I've still got it. Looking at the older men in my family, chances are it's not going to be thick, lustrous and covering my whole melon for much longer.
