Took some more pics this morning.

Here's a pic of Cricket looking guilty for the chewed coat rack leg. Funny thing is, she didn't chew that. Missy chewed it when she was a puppy.

This was taken in my den, where Cricket has been busy destroying a FedEx box bit by bit. She's a really long dog.

Missy was just getting ready to yawn and I was too early.

These were also taken in my den but not today.

Hi BlueBlazer..
Cricket looks like she is half jackoloupe !
Part Jack H and Chocolope!
Does she walk like a old hot rod? Front end down lower than back?

Cricket sure looks guilty with the coat rack! jpt

Hi jpt.

Yeah, she does walk with her butt higher that her front shoulders. She's got some power in those legs though. If Missy goes 1/2 speed, Cricket can keep up.

It was 42 degrees today, so we took them out back and let them run their asses off. It was fun to watch Cricket chase Missy all over hell. Missy loves being chased and Spike didn't have the steam.

Once Missy had her fill of being chased, she went all out and Cricket was left in the dust. Cricket takes some good angles though.

They were gloriously muddy from the thaw conditions. We toweled them off thoroughly and both are getting baths.

Its been a while. Cricket is growing and getting more gangly and clumsy. She's been doing fantastic. She's completely house trained and we are able to leave the house without worry as she behaves herself while we're gone.

Missy and Cricket tussle all the time and that can be annoying. They don't harm each other at all, but the noises! Also plenty of crashing and banging. Missy is so happy though and Cricket really is turning into a damn fine dog.

Anyway, without further ado here's a few current pics:

Heh, the missus said she's going to stretch out on the couch for a nap. I didn't think anything of it. Later I noticed how quiet it was. Quiet isn't always good with a puppy in the house, so I went to investigate . . .

All three of my ladies snoozing it up.

what does she weigh now blue? does the theory of a dog finishing out at double the 14 week weight seem to be proving itself out?

I don't know for sure and I hesitate to weigh her on the bathroom scale because I really fucked that up last time.

I'd say she's at least twice her 14 week weight already and she isn't done. Her legs are too long and her paws are too big. We'll be happy if she's only as big as Missy. Heck, she's almost there now. So I'd say, at least in this case, that theory is inaccurate.

One sad side effect is she can't get comfortable in my lap to snooze anymore. She still sits in my lap but if she wants a nap, she gets down.

wow...BlueBlazer...amazing growth. My new chi-hua-hua puppy is also setting records, and I'm starting to doubt she is a chi-hua-hua :)

If you ever have to temporarily arise from a nap to use the facilities, this is liable to be what you find when you return . . .

We bought a rawhide chew toy for each of the mutts. They each took theirs and disappeared. They reappeared "fighting" over the same one. The missus went to take it from them and discovered that they were quite content to chew on either end while she held it for them . . .
