Got to say since started using the oldtimers bloom in flower never seen such an explosion of growth in the two days since I've been using it. Used plant magic soil and beneficial fungi in veg and nothing else have to say they didn't look particularly happy in veg but since using the oldtimer bloom in flower its a different story still new to this organic business. But for flower at present I give it a huge thumbs up. Will look into veg next time around. I'd defo give it a try piff its suppose to suit all water types as well.

try some catalyst, veg boost and evolution in veg mate, they're all brilliant, and the biosilicon

theres no superfluous products, all good

Let me know how you get on with this mate as I'm due to replace my bloom nutes soon and heard great things about the PM OT bloom. It was either that or Biobizz Fish mix.

What do you use in veg?

Peace

I'm not big on sea food so might have to stay away from this! Thanks for the info, PM it is then. :tiphat:

Fish mix stinks really a bad I remember taking the piss out of a a bio biz rep when he told me cause I assumed the filters would deal with the smell.....how wrong I was.....well Alaska fish mix is like the biobizz stuff but deodorised it's big with all the commercial Vietnamese grow factory's as u can't over feed with it!?!?!!.

I bought some huboltd nutrients myan madness all sorts of beneficials it said to add every watering all the way through I now reckon that was the problem in veg just no need to add that much once or twice would have done it.

mate jog that Biojizz on - Plant Magic all the way you will never look back- and all their additives are superb, evolution, catalyst, veg boost, all wicked

I'm skeptical about the claims they make on a lot of their products such as the veg boost.

I also can't wrap my head round why they made the coco bloom as a veg feed formula with a bloom label.

The Oldtimer bloom for soil is 3-5-4, which is a normal bloom recipe. I don't know why they think plant's grown in coco have such massively different needs to make the coco bloom 4-2-4.

They've split virtually the same formula into two separate packs. The coco grow and coco bloom are so similar that you don't need the veg at all. It's no better a veg feed than the bloom, in fact the bloom's probably better. it's something like 4-2-4 vs 4-3-4.

I talked to Oldtimer about this and he said he'd raise the issue with plant magic. Maybe a lot of product has already been made and can't be changed now, but it's an oversight which still hasn't been fixed.

The Oldtimer soil stuff seems solid though. I don't think you can go wrong with either of those. Fish mix is just as good as plant magic grow but I don't like the biobizz bloom, not the old one anyway.

I seem to remember them (PM) having an awful dilution rate too, really watery nutes... This could have changed.
For fish mix, the best was always that "Morbloom". If you like the fish effects without the stink, how about getting a box of fish blood and bone from the garden centre and top dressing it. My Grandad used to get fish that was past it from the fishmonger, he'd filll up a wheel barrow with fish, chop it all up with a spade til it looked like there had been a mass murder, then he'd dig it into his allotment a while before he planted his toms, cucs, peas, beans and marrows.

Thanks for the responses everyone.

I'm not currently in the UK and unfortunately the hydro stores where I'm at don't stock Plant Magic.

I've previously used 4 year old bottles of Biobizz Grow and Bloom with good results.

Could anyone recommend a decent alternative to the BB Grow and Bloom out of the following available:

Canna Bio Vega and Flores
Plagron Alga Grow and Bloom
New Range Biobizz Grow and Bloom and/or Fishmix

There's also a load of brands I've never heard of before but these three I recognise.

Thanks alot!

Peace

The Plagron is good, a mate of mine has been using their stuff for years.

Nice one Harry! Most important thing to me is that the product burns nice and clean at the end. Yield ain't really a factor.

Nice one Azad. Is that what you use?

I've done a bit of research and it looks like people get N deficiency with the canna bio terra unless you use canna bio soil. Apparently the terra is really low in N and if used with other soils you have to supplement the N.

What do you reckon mate?

Also, has anyone used the biobizz grow and bloom since they changed all the packaging about a year ago?

Peace

I was going to mention that before.

Loads of companies sell amino acids as an additive and charge fkin stupid amounts for it. Blood meal has them naturally. It's actually soluble as well so it can be watered in.. Or, like you say, it can be a top dressing. You can use it in coco as well if you want. But whatever way you use it, you're getting all the aminos and proteins you would from an expensive additive.

Hey piff,I used the bio bizz bloom last run and to be honest I find it's not quite as good as playgron algae bloom so I'll be switching back this run to playgron, haven't used there grow for a while.

Thanks for that 40shades, when you say better, are you talking yields or taste?

Also what would you recommend in veg if using Plagron Algae bloom?

Peace

I'm talking about taste and overall vibrancy of the plants.i only use playgron start up all the way through veg,the only thing I add is some molasses at the end of veg and Epsom salts for kush dominant strains if needed.ive had great results oxygenating the playgron nutes overnight as if they were act I highly recommend this piff!

Thanks for the advice, do you use Plagron soil with the nutes?

Also when you did the biobizz run, was it with a bottle with the new style packaging?

The reason I ask is I've always had great results with Biobizz old style packaging and fear change!

Peace
