High dubi high all.

i am growing the PCK for the first time now, they are very slow in vegetative growth
super robust once they start vegetating properly, i had some issues with germinating them
with all the best i could do i had only 4 1/2 from 14 which i thankfully got..
but even with carefully splitting the shell with a scalpel and with all precautions i learned so far
i just could not get any more popping from those..

i got a replacement pack which was very generous from Luis, a huge hug for him for this!!!
so from 6 i sowed 6 came :) so i got now 10 1/2 .. the half is somehow from the first run
which is till small cotyledons showing for soon 2 month but still not dead, the last 2 weeks
it showed signs of coming up with some new leafs, maybe it wants to grow after all.

the others grew very crippled in the beginning but look very nice now growing into beautiful plants now,
i may show more pictures later on when i have a little more time,

for now the first one is from the fresh pack the three other pictures below from the first run
they are now over 40 cm and the pictures you see are taken about 5 weeks ago

and here i would have a question dubi, since i wanted to make some seeds with them
but first i wanted to blossom them out to maybe select some nice ones,
how would you suggest to preferably clone the PCK? just top them and into coco or root riots?

Hola Asche,

Sorry to hear about your first germination problems, PCK seeds are usually small and a bit delicate in the germination and first days of life. I'm glad the replacement worked fine :) and that you are growing all the PCKs you paid for.

It's a landrace indica and this kind of inbred lines are quite slow in the first 3-4 weeks of life, then they grow with acceptable vigour but nothing like a sativa/indica hybrid or sativa dominant plant for vigour.

Some PCK plants can show crinkle leaves in early stages but later they have normal growth when they are adults.

For cloning, use the method you are more familiarized with. PCK doesn't need any special care for rooting. Usually they root in 7-10 days.

UHN's cut of Ace Pakistan Chitral Kush turned into nice looking, dense little nugs. I purposely over vegged this one into a monster in an attempt to get larger flowers than the last time I ran PCK. Despite my efforts - no real size difference, just tons of little flowers.

I'm really looking forward to the PCKxOE I have in veg, should solve the size issue. Hopefully its as pretty as PCK, the purple buds are just gorgeous.

this one had cotyledons only for about 3 month, i was a bit stubborn
dint want to let it go, it showed slight signs about 6 weeks ago
but then it stopped again.. the last few days some leafs grew out hehe
maybe it wants to grow now after all :)

Very nice, Asche.
I think the seedling may make it now.

I haven't had a pack with that narrow column look yet.

I'm revegging my mother's now and want to get some clones for outdoors.

bad news, the little one gave up.. after it sprouted those last leafs
the leafs went brown like the cotyledons :( it had very little green still
but i also decided that more then 3 month is long enough so i tossed it..

good news is that i finally found a male, from 9 plants one male :)
not much purple but very columnar, so i guess i will be making some seeds with it
will sex this purple specimen as shown above with it, maybe also one with pink
which i haven´t shown pictures from yet, both have a very nice structure and smell

does anybody know if its still ok to sex the ladies when the leafs are getting quite yellow?
i am flushing for some time already.. shall i maybe throw in some nitrogen?

i thought i will cut a few big buds down and leave the rest in the flower room
to get a few pollen..

here the boy which i seperated from the flower room,
building up a second flower room now it will go there tomorrow

well at this point i must say thanks for the work of ACE and CBG
who made some great work with the PCK.

After curing now about 3 weeks, the smoke is really tasty.
It reminds me even though the phenos have a little variety
in the terpene profile but generally of black current
with some herbal sub tones.

thanks to you guys, for keeping this great landrace around.

Hi Asche :) Thank you very much for your kind words, all credits goes to the chitrali native farmers that originally developed this strain for many generations, to the people at CBG, especially kaiki for sharing the line with us and let ACE release this amazing indica around 2008, and also to the people here at ACE Seeds that has been preserving and working with clones from best chitral parental plants for the past 10 years!

Your Purple PCK looks like a nice pheno, it's probably my favourite colorful expression, i'm glad you are producing your own seeds. Good luck ;)

swadee krap guys

welcome another purple maniac in your ranks

I haven't personally grown PCK so far, but I all abot Pakistanis and hybrids. I finally got some of dubis from a friend and had them popped a few weeks ago, vegging more or less happy so far.
As soon as my actual flowering is finished, I will pay more attention to them.

but speaking of which, I hope you guys don't mind if I show an other chitral variety and ask few questions?

this strain is called Rosa, I'm woking on a F3 now. just for fun
originally its an Exodus Cheese x Cranberry Haze F1 from Breeders Choice Org. I came upon that the linage is very interesting because it has chitral genes too. started with 20 seeds back then, but the whole lot of F2s i made, provided me well with lots of stuff to play around further.

Cranberry Haze IBL = Colombian Gold/ Purple Haze x Chitral #1

the F1 was like the description, with around 73 days flowering time and a sativa high. also purple and with a sour berry smell.

After reading this tread and seeing all the nice pictures, I came upon that there are a lot similarities to PCK.
the Chitral/Indica part is overall very dominant in this cross imho.
even more in the F2 where onestly I hoped for much more sativa charakteristics from Cranberry Haze to work further with.
the actual situation with my F2 is that they are even faster in flowering and finishing in 7 weeks lol.
and i someway outbred the purple, at least for these phenos. altough i used multible dads and mums out of my 17 plants.

I know this numbers may sound ridiculous to a decent breeder, but I'm all about the passion and the fun of it
