Far warning bro, wells can be time bombs. With the drought, water tables are dropping.

Fact: Farmers down here in the valley, are having to drill deeper to re-tap their wells.

Not saying you should have to worry, just be optimistic.

I am very familiar with your area up there and how its water is supplied by the sierra run off. This passing storm ain't shit to the big picture. Being an avid fisherman, I've watched all the rivers up there and lakes below you fill and drain my whole life, but every year shits been going down hill.

Btw have you guys had any water and soil testing for your property? I know your in containers now but for future grows if you wanted to go into the ground?

One time I was involved in a 300 plant coop. grow, and that was the first thing we did. Even though we used a bob cat, auger, and our own soil mix for each plant site, It was great info to have about the property. We knew exactly what we were dealing with incase any problems arise.

Next week we begin constructing frames for our light-dep. it's tricky finding enough flat space here for 2 hoophouses. anyone ever try to light-dep on a hillside?

I did it last year. It wasn't as much of a pain in the ass as it seems it would be. You can use pallets to make levels for the plants to be on. We had a bunch of rocks so we just stacked those under the pots. I used bigger pots to make them less likely to tip (20g's). Simple rebar, pvc, and a cover.

The major issue last year was definitely water(which was in short supply) and heat( several consecutive days of 110+ highs and 85 at night).

Sheriffs did a compliance check today. We got checked on our plant count, got pushed back to having to go big. Plans change... unfortunately.

36 plants apparently, but it has to be "for personal medical use".. the sherrif wanted to be vague about numbers and i didnt feel like gettinginto it with the seargant in a county of 18k people. thats how ya wind up in court

I had more than one encounter with mariposa country sheriff. They were douche bags everytime. I went to jail once because they swore I stolen a truck and went up to their county, catheys valley to hang out with it at the 76 gas station guess.

The truth was I just bought it and hour prior and went to pick my ex ol'lady up from work. As we were leaving I opened the door and the factory alarm went off, that I didn't know it had, so while trying to figure out how to shut it up, here came good ol sheriff. They couldn't believe it was my truck and i didn't know how to turn the alarm of. It was a friday night and they couldn't get ahold of the used car dealership to verify the just sold it to me. It was Sooo crazy bro. I never argued or felt so fucked by the cops as I didt that day.

Monday morning they let me go like it was no thing. The cops at the jail couldn't even believe I was brought in for something so ridiculous.

Fuck'em bro do what you got to do. Just because they come for a compliance check doesn't mean you've got to give them a tour of the whole farm. They don't have search warrants. Just set up your main area how they need it. And that's all they need to know or worry about.

I can't believe they're all ready on you. I assume something might have pissed them off last season, so they're coming to give you fare warning... Just show them what they want and fuck the rest. It can cross the boundary of invading privacy laws.

thats actually exactly what you need to do or they will come with that warrant they took the courtesy of not asking for prior to the compliance check and proceed to end your season.

they're the cops, man they know how big the property is, where the property lines are, and what structures are permitted and not all from the county tax records.

True that. Me personally, I get stand offish when they start wanting to look around my house, and open my closets/garages. I'll show them what I've got and if they don't believe me, then they can go get that warrant.

I stay compliant according to state guidelines 100%. NOT local ordinances. If my rec. says exempt, then I grow what I need to supply my self, my family, and other patients in my circle that cannot grow for themselves then that's what I'm going to do.

The penalties for growing outside the county ordinance is not a criminal action. It's a fine. And additional fines until you prove you've fallin into compliance with their guidelines of said ordinance.

We're all different and I prefer to be as cooperative as possible and in as good a mood as can be when it comes to dealing with law enforcement already at my property when I have a grow going on.

The funny thing is a lot of the local ordinances don't have anything to do with Prop 215 and everything to do with property use , what's called the General Plan for an area , as well as what the property is zoned for. I personally don't think that people should have 50 200 gallon pots on 1/2 acre fed by city water in their back yard in town and that's what most these rules were made to attack. You can look up crime rate increase over the last 5 years in Eureka, CA and Redding, CA and it is fucking Scary

This is just the beginning, I know from experience that the county can go so far as to put a lien on the title of your property encumbering it in the case of sale, refinance, or pretty much anything you want to do outside of continuing to violate their rules by growing lots of weed on a city lot or building lots of structures with out the proper permit. The latter is what I have had to deal with and it is a pain to clean up the title but it is possible , time consuming , and expensive.
