Humidifier Equipment - Need +70% - 4X4X7 Tent -

Hello,

As the title implies, I am in need of a piece of equipment which will efficiently and effectively raise my ambient humidity (25%) to 70% plus.

I recirculate my air with a carbon scrubber, so not all C02 and humidity is immediately expelled, and the bulb is within a hood that has it's own fan independently expelling the hot air.

I will be using a 600W HID bulb alongside 150W LED.

I have 4 grow units within the tent, so some piece of equipment would fit perfectly between them.

Thanks.

I have been recommended an Ultrasonic 5 Disc Fogger to fulfill my requirements. The unit alone is not recommended to exceed 8 hours of continuous operation, so I will be purchasing two units which will both be placed within my fog reservoir that will be fed via gravity from an external reservoir.

How about a humidifier? If your plants are small, they will raise
the RH themselves when they get bigger...

how hard would it be for you to keep the bottom submerged under a few inches of water? if you could raise everything up and pool some water, you could clip a small fan to blow across it. The evaporation will add humidity to the air, while also cooling from under the roots.

it sounds a lot harder than it actually is. I am doing it right now, and have many times depending on the reason/season

I don't think it would be worth the space and extra cost just to maintain a high humidity.

Is there a specific reason you want 70%RH?

i take it your in veg wanting 70%,
@70% Rh your carbon scrubber won't be scrubbing very well.
i think past 60% the carbon doesn't really do its job.
i raised my Rh spraying plants and the floor(not ideal) with water until my humidifier arrived.
when it finally came the plants had grown enough in a week and raised Rh to the point i didn't need it.
but as Kcar said, get a humidifier or an ultrasonic fogger, wouldn't take much for a tent.

same exact fucking thing happened to me..

But then it became really clear that I need about 6 foggers to keep me at 50% humidity even lol, so all was not lost

Edit: For all who ask, humidity at 70% is crucial in veg---> stretch.

TRUST MEH.

Never had a lick of smell leak out my scrubbers at 70+% RH , but I also had air exchange twice per minute compared to a sealed room w/CO2 , so I feel yas Gnomester , and I have heard that before....but....

Larger scrubbers with bigger fans ALWAYS run enough flow through em to compensate for the extra moisture/water vapor in the air , and after end of stretch once dehueys are employed , and RH is dropped low enough to prevent airborn nasties from taking hold in late flower , then....

The scrubbers do their job just fine when stank is at it`s max till end of cycle , but Dabs is dead on as I helped him in his time of need just like Krusty schooled me back in the day.....

70% RH till end of stretch , and as close to below 50% till end of cycle is as close to perfect as a dialed environment gets guaranteed....

Good luck TT.....DHF....:ying:....

yup ive read it many, many times on hi humidity+scrubbers too but the distinction of whether the room was a seal system or not was never mentioned? you just take it for granted after reading it x amount of times
of course I never run a scrubber in veg anyways so go figure lol ....
I'm 27 days in bloom now,
the smell is sweet, piney and hashy when i go in... can't smell a thing outside the room so I'm wondering why run a 10" inline 24/7 and up the elec bill even more?

Thanks, noyd666, but I've heard these units are very inefficient, put out a micron size too large for most applications, and would output too much water in my grow area.
