what makes the sucanat superior to molasses in your opinion, or is it a matter of practicality for your products that it is a much easier and mailable option?

Would this be akin to "dried molasses"? I have seen some other companies use this in their compost tea pre-mixes.

I like the results of Sucanat. They were on par with liquid molasses without the mess.

Dried molasses is soy sprayed with molasses. I would not use that in a tea. I would however spread it on my lawn. :)

Can you share those results? I have yet to see anything out perform unsulfured blackstrap molasses for consistency in both bacterial and fungal growth.

Sucanat did not "outperform" molasses. It was "on par" with it.

I like the ability to use all dry inputs. Molasses is messy as shit.

A lot of old timers use it. By old timers I mean people that have been growing for 3-4 decades.

That's how I learned about it.

Molasses is usually easier for everyone to find, and works very well. No reason to fix it if it ain't broke.

A million ways to skin a cat. :)

ESO... i am brewing a batch of tea with the recommended products. What is the dilution recommended rate for a 5gal batch. The 5gal compost brew kit that comes with the AACT brewer, seems like it would be a "feed tea". Given the fish, guano that is in the compost brew kit. any thoughts to help a beginner understand this . I am hoping i am doing it proper. water temp is 70 degrees in brewer is this ok?

If you are soil drenching you do not dilute it. If you are foliar feeding I would dilute it 1/2 and 1/2 with water.

The tea kit with guano is for flowering. The other kits are for any stage. I am lazy so I use the kit with guano for every stage, and I get great results. :)

Forgot to say 70 degrees is a great tempt o brew with. 24-36 hours will do you well.

I prefer dry inputs as well. Have any microscope work on it though?

I have had a 5kg bale of botanicare coco for 2 yrs and was wondering if this would be good to add to my soil? and at what amount? see i dont want much . If it will work it will be rinsed several times per the recommendations for coco. Kind of like a aeration product with added benefits. hell i dont really know organics yet....but soon enough it will click in. FH

This is a good question firehound, but I have never used coco so I can't answer that. The only thing I use it for is mulch. It is my go to mulch.
