I've decided to continue using SuperThrive with transplants after doing a little reading.

Cheese n Chaze and Chemmy Jones are on day 33 of veg from seed. Some look like they are ready for transplant and others need to develop a better root mass. Might wait until the 18th because they'll be at 5 weeks.

Got any full plant pics of the Chemmy Jones so I can compare them with mine?
My CJ's are at week 7 of veg. No topping or training. X-Mas tree style.
They're getting really tall now. About to take cuts and flip em'.
I have 1 pheno that is really sensitive to Cal-Mag+. It got rust spots just like a pure sativa when I gave it its first tsp of cal-mag+.
I noticed that the side branches are long and weak. I should probably top just to thicken/strengthen them up abit, but Im not going to.
I want to see how they grow straight up.

My two CJ's are on just 1 day from starting week 5 and haven't been topped or trained either. The structure seems nice on "pheno 1" other than what you were saying about some branches being weak. Will probably top in one week. I've been giving them straight water with one feeding of Floralicious.

The second CJ I have is really stretchy and is looking to me like a male because of how tall and skinny it's growing. I will wait until the second week of flower to transplant so I don't waste soil and space on a male.

Great photos and documentation....

thanks!

Thank you for stopping in!

Wow! Those look nothing like the Chemmy Jones I have.
Wierd. The leaves look different too.
Youre plants look more Sour Diesel man. :dunno:

That's pretty strange. I wonder if there is just a bunch of variation? The smell of it is relatively "chemmy" . Is there maybe a chem leaning pheno that looks like Sour in veg? Not sure what to say... what does yours look like?

They do look way diff dont they OldSchool?
Yours has a SourD - OGKush thing going on with it.
The structure anyways, with the stretch and the long leaf stems.
I dont know what to think either buddy? :dunno:
Well see soon enough. Im flipping mine in a few days.
Maybe just a dif batch? Or like you said, being different variations of phenotypes?
Im sure they will come out just as dank.

SO different. I see what you mean about the stretchy OG look mine has. I still believe mine is some sort of Chemmy Jones because I'm following a thread on here and the grower has some in flower and they look kind of similar to mine. I will post the link! Like you said, I'm sure we are both in for some tasty buds.

Here are some update pictures! I've been super busy with helping my friend out so I haven't been online like I usually am. This job will be over in 2 days and I will be back to my over posting self. Took 4 Candyland clones to show my brethren how to (I took 3, he took 1). I also topped all the Cheese n Chazes. (white specks on lower leaves is Diatomaceous Earth)

I start to wonder at times how much I should really be obsessing about strain and pheno and seed company etc. It seems the pot I grow is always really good. There is certainly better out there but this seems to be one of the few things in my life that I obsess over so much trying to start with all the best stuff. I don't take this approach in my vegetable garden and I grow some kick ass fruits and veggies that I am more than satisfied with. I do have certain types I prefer but I wouldn't cry if they were unavailable and I had to grow something else. I think I need to keep in mind what you guys are saying. We will get a great product if we care for it as we do, almost regardless of the source.

I hear your words and agree ALMOST completely.

I had a really experienced grower buddy of mine get fucked over on some genetics one time. The room was pretty dialed in but the yield and quality was atrocious. It was strange. So I like to be confident that my plant will be at least worth growing! Not a waste of an electricity bill and other supplies. Oh yeah... and fuck anyone pushin bad clones.

I figure that with decent genetics and triple A grade love that there should be some really nice product. :dance013:

A/C Baffle Box

A/C Baffle Box

So today I made the baffle box for the main light leak in my A/C unit. There is still some tweaking to be done on the other light leaks in the window but I wanted to share some photos of the progress I've made.

Everything was painting flat black (including the Gorilla tape). I only needed one baffle for this simple light trap.

picture.php

Baffle nice and secure...

picture.php

Then, I sealed the box up and then cut areas for the air to flow in and out. One will slip onto the A/C vent and the other will be open, venting to the room.

picture.php

Fit it... Secure it... Obviously leaving room for the control panel and remote sensor.

DONE. And it works fucking amazing. Really really happy with this, guys. When I'm not so blasted I'll post details.

Exactly. Strain, company/breeder are good starting points. Ill be looking more into buying f2s or something I think has potential as f2s to find higher numbers of varied phenos. I think you get a greater chance of finding something special. A lot higher than buying a single fem seed anyway. How can 1 seed really tell us what a strain/cross has to offer?

The potential is there or it isn't. A smooth, proactive grow makes it just that much easier to decide if something deserves a 2nd run - Im having to run just about everything twice.

Nice simple box OSG. How light tight is it?
