Getting Water To Your Guerrilla Site...Any tips??

Hi i am going to do my first guerrilla grow this year and i was wondering how everyone transports water to their site? I'm hoping there's a better way than carrying buckets lol.....Would it be a bad idea to get water straight from the river and add nutes to it? Also what kind of water absorbing crystals should i use to help store water for the plants?

The past 2 growing seasons have been really dry so i wanna do as much as possible to make sure the plants will be watered enough and try to limit the number of times i have to go water them.... My step dad has been guerrilla growing for years now and he only gets out to water them maybe 2 times all summer and you can really tell what the lack of water has done to the overall yield and quality......Im hoping to avoid that as much as possible and maybe teach him a thing or to :p thanks for the help guys

I preferred not to carry water. Too much work on a hot night. Too conspicuous during the day.
River water should be fine. Good soil prep well before planting And min nutes should be needed. Avoid blood, bone, fish meal it draws coons.
Tera sorb is the product name I knew.
Good luck

Ok cool thanks......I wasn't sure about the using river water cuz theres always cows pissing n shitting in it and didn't know if that was a bad thing lol.... In the past years my grows were a lot closer to my house so watering them was easy, but after some security issues in the past years im going guerrilla.....If river water will work fine it will cut the distance in half that i have to carry water and a will leave a lot less noticeable trail to....

The soil in my area is full of nutrients and really good for growing so i don't need to use nutes much but i always like to try to give them nutes at least every 2 or 3 weeks....

harbor freight got the pumps and you can get warranty... pump is small and not very noisy,, I used rechargeable battery from one of them jumpstart packs for cars,, pump and battery not heavy at all too

thanks for the info... ill have to look into using a pump a bit more..... the only bad thing is id have to run the water line quite a long ways.... i cannot grow very close to the stream because the area is all hay fields, so id have to run tubing for 1/4 mile or so.... hopefully it wont be such a dry summer this year like the past 2....if we get normal rainfall this year it will help me not having to water as much....i think id almost feel safer carring buckets or something than runnign a water line.... Have had bad luck with my grows getting robbed or cut down, so kinda leery about having a water line running straight to my grow site for somone to follow lol

Based on your input I would say paladin has the right answer. Water crystals and good soil prep. I would use time release ferts while preparing my holes.

I dont water anymore I look for spots with good moisture all year. Its a trade off you cant have huge monsters if you are going to use the minimalist method. Lugging 5 gal buckest of water leaves trails thats something to keep in mind.

Security over yield is my moto.:tiphat:

Aren't you creating a "path" when you carry water buckets??? I would think underground PVC, then hose attachment closer to your plants would be ideal....with small pump....drip system....you don't have to be near the plants a much.

Better to find a stealth grow site far from any agricultural farming.Crops are cut down before ganja is ready....

yea i agree.... and my grow site is not close to any farming land.... it is atleast 1/2 mile or so up a valley along the treeline of the woods....Definently not visable from any fields and there wont be any farmers within 1/2 mile of my site. thanks for the input

green 6 gallon water cans, (1 can per plant twice a week) bring in as close as you can via ATV then carry from there.

25 Liter water jug in a backpack. Not high tech and not as easy as a river. But I will make do with it.

200 litre bins, or failing that 75 litre plastic trash cans.
Put near your grow, camo them.
Put them out early and they will be full of water by planting time.
Some people rig a tarp over them to funnel the water into them, but this can stand out from the air, and I have found that they fill up by themselves anyway.

Just remember that landmarks such as rivers attract people, people are less likely to go wandering through featureless terrain.

Pumps work well, and you can bury the pipe, but this means you will be growing close to the river.
For a large number of plants you will need a pump, but for a smaller number I would suggest putting out bins near the plants to catch water.

First get on a weather site, and get the average monthly rainfall for each month of the growing season.
This will give you an idea of how much supplementary water you will need.

Also the type of soil you will be growing in. Sandy soils don't hold much water and will need more regular watering.
And don't forget to mulch with hay or wood chippings or whatever, this can conserve about 25% more water.

One other tip.
String cotton, olive green is a good colour, around your grow site.
When you go to your site first thing check if the cotton is broken.
This will tell you if someone has been to your grow.
If you find it broken string it up again and see if it gets broken again.
This will tell you that you have a regular visitor to your grow.
If so then harvest early.
Saved me one time. After finding the cotton broken I checked on the spot more often, and actually caught the ripper about to harvest my plants.

Broadleaf P4 for the water absorbing agricultural polymers.

There's probably other makes too. Sunlight degrades a lot of plastic so it's good to make sure they're covered.

It's important to have drainage so it doesn't get swampy and get anaerobic. Also to water in 2 or 3 doses - the water can run away before the polymers have time to absorb them.

Last time I bought them it was like $40 for about a gallon bucket. That was in San Diego.

Some places charge a lot for ag. polymers. I suggest shopping around for the good price on the good product.

For the irrigation I suggest considering the use a poly-crystalline solar cell. The mono-crystalline are cheaper.
Supposedly the poly-crystalline output more energy when it's not sunny. The poly-crystalline have more of a
camouflage look.

But since there's an issue of stealth - a solar photovoltaic can be seen when LEO etc. does their overhead
flights in the helicopers.

You would also need a battery and an inverter ... and a timer.

One option is to forget the solar cell and to just walk in a new car battery to run the pump - in the river. Of course, walking around in the wilds with buckets of water or car batteries can raise suspicions.

i try to dig run off ponds lined with plastic in underbrush for concealment and shade (less evaporation). hard to find the right spot but when you do it'll be there for years with a little cleaning out each year.

why is that all dangerous advice?
You do not want to be found? U don't leave shit all over. Pumps? Silent ones? Maybe some nice bright solar panels. Tarps n barrels?
Done right U'll never see so much as a footprint.

Guys a maroon. Been banned under several names
