Reasons why dry sifted resin is the best!

1) It's tastes better....when you smoke quality dry sift you are inhaling the "essence" of the plant, the full flavor as nothing is rinsed away, nothing is dissolved in chemicals, you are inhaling whole, un-ruptured, resin heads (if the sift is unpressed)

2) The high is better......Ice water hash and petrochemical derived oils often have a higher potency, but the high from ice hash lacks a fullness and oils often have a foggy high.

3) Dry sift is faster to produce....I can be smoking dry sift long before before you even finish mixing your Bubblebags or even before you complete the first steps of butane extractions

4) It's safer...there's no problems with water, electricity and getting electrified nor is there a concern about butane or alcohol explosions

5) etc etc

Add you own reasons why!..and if you think that butane extracted oils or Bubble bag hash is better, please start your thread telling us why.

I have a roller drum mesh tube in a rubber maid contain you plug in....leave it for 24 hrs. No harsh chemicals....super sifted!! Sweet!!! In total agreement of your methods and reasons. Cool!

Is dry ice extraction considered dry sifted? Ever since I discovered it my bubble bags dont see water and my hash does taste and smell much more complex. and so much less mess to clean up!

I thoroughly enjoy topping a pipe full with dry sift. Before making bubble hash, I shake the trim in a 220 micron bag. 10-20 seconds over a pan collects quite a bit. Scrape it up slowly with a card. moving fast melts it. Like PTDTTLHS stated it is the best. I believe this because it is completely unadulterated. :)

Of course it is.

Have you tried cooling the material with chunks of dry ice, removing the dry ice then dry sifting? This way you will have the advantage of super dry, super cold material and when you sift you are not bashing your pot with rocks of dry ice that only pulverizes the leaves into tiny bits of contaminant. Perhaps place the dry ice in a Bubblebag and then put this bag in another Bubblebag that contains the trim or bud or whatever you are sifting. While the 220 micron bag does the job, I'd suggest trying a bag with a finer mesh, perhaps 190 or 160 micron?

It is for us!

and, of course, remove the dry ice before sifting...anyway, I haven't tried this, but hey, give it a go if you like.

Dry sift is particulate separation, you separate the particles you want from the particles you don't want. You do not ADD anything. When you add anything the signature is there, purge, winterize, whatever the sig is there.

One method I have used with good success is get the kief through a 110 screen, place the kief in a 240 screen wad it so the kief is like a ball and shake on a cold day, what is left in the ball is not to bad...

i like sift best, get a 100ish screeen trimming tray, has a tub with a screen set in another tub, with arm rests cut out , get sift as ya trim. i forget the name of them but they cost like 25 bux tops. makes trimming a breeze too.

Question : I just passed the 50 posts minimum so now I have the option for PM use, but I noticed that I still do not have an EDIT option for posts (as I did before when I was a member here under a different user name) What gives? Please help!
