Update time

I have to say I am very pleased with the last few weeks growth..i had to abruptly change my flowering hrs to where lights are on at night now..since doing that my temps have been around 75 F..before doing that temps where over 90....no need for a cooltube now...as far as nutes i put oscomote in the soil when I transplanted to new pots for flowering and just this week gave my ladies they're 1st FF Tiger Bloom feeding..here are some pics

Coming along lovely mate. Gives me hope for my vk's as im not at all impressed with the tangerine dreams.

How tall were the plants when you flowered? They about 2-3 foot now by the looks of it. Good stuff man, cant wait for the finish now.

that would be awesome!..I think I have atleast another 3-4 weeks on the VK and maybe 5-6 on the SLH's but I will start checking trichs in 2-3 weeks on all plants

Here a few snapshots I took this morning from inside the box while lights on..things are looking great, but smelling even better!

SLH # 1-Very sweet lemony smell
SLH#2-More Citrus Lemony
Vanilla Kush-im having a hard time smelling any vanilla in it, but the sweet kushy smell is amazing..

I try to touch the SLH's with one hand and the vanilla kush with the other and the Vanilla Kush has the upper "hand" on keeping the smell longer if that makes any sense..

Looking great Mr. frugal, you are growing two strains I love to smoke.

I had a pheno of vanilla kush that was absolutely amazing. It is a indica phenotype with a lime green color and dark crimson red hairs, done 9 weeks. It will stand out from the other phenos. Smells like straight up vanilla extract while growing. The taste was just unbelievable, kinda like vanilla ice cream with a hint of lavender, you just want to hold it in as long as you can, then blow it out through you nose. Hits hard ( head and body) and lasts long with a high ceiling. Sadly I lost this cut due to mites but I will be getting a 20-30 pack to search for it again or something better.

Had a 7up pheno of lemon haze also, tastes and smells just like the soda, sadly I killed her due to mites also.

whats up Starwalker thanks for stopping by..especially the info on the pheno's..I have grown Super Lemon Haze outdoors a couple years back and it was quite amazing..i was pretty bummed when it ran out..but in a couple months I should be toking on some nice cured SLH budz again too bad you lost all of your cuts..I have a few clones outside right now of each..Im thinking I might want to smell me some vanilla extract to see how close this pheno is...because honestly its been a while since I have smelled vanilla..but i do know that it smells pretty awesome!..glad to have you sub'd!

Alright its day 49 since I switched the lights..things are looking and smelling wonderful..adding the oscomote to the soil has really made a difference compared to my other grows..im probably looking at least another 2-3 weeks on the Vanilla Kush and Super Lemon Haze # 1..the Super Lemon Haze # 2 runt pheno is probably around 4 more weeks..I looked at all the trichs with my magnifier the other day and all clear so far..here are some pics I took this morning. My batteries died before i could take any of the SLH # 2..I had to add a steak in the soil because the top cola is getting baseball size and the main stem is too weak to hold it up..very interesting pheno..but i have to say for its size the smell is extremely lemony compare to my bigger SLH..although it smells pretty awesome too..can't wait till all is cure for the final smells

Looking lovely man. Really liking the dark colour and thick head of the vanilla kush, and the SLH looks like it has a nice fat cola and buds to it. Do you really rekon they go another 2-3 weeks. I rekon the VK looks like it could be done in under 14, perhaps 60 days, looks really fat, and should swell even more! Makes me want to try the VK next. Looks really good.

Just harvested one of the tangerine dreams today. Better than expected, extreme piney/citric haZe aroma, not really my cup of tea, but not bad. Not very tangerine though, does the vanilla kush smell anything like vanilla?

Thanks Solid!..yeah this VK is really showing its Indica traits....although I know its supposed to be mostly indica..from what Ive seen on most of the advertised pics of VK are not as broad leafed as this one is..the cola's are extremely compact..my SLH budz are somewhat fluffy still when slightly pressed..but as far as Vanilla smell..its there, but as of now the kush smell is way more dominant..both of my SLH's are really smelling lemony though..the bigger one is more skunky lemony with a sweet hint..and the smaller one is more a sharp sweet lemon smell..both very nice..you will have to show me some of your harvested pics of the TD..very curious about that strain..too bad no tangerine smell..tangerines are my fav..must be more pheno prone like the VK

as far as harvest time I will keep an eye on the trich's..but I am always confused what days to go by as far as the estimated days the seed breeders give..do I go from first sign of flowers after 12/12 or is that right after i switch my lights from 12/12..thats why i like to post how many days from 12/12..helps me keep up with it better..the trich color's will truly tell..i like probably 20-30% amber trichs and rest cloudy..more a head high than body..but I also enjoy a nice flavour too.

awesome I just checked out your pics..looks pretty sweet!..still a bummer no Tangerine smell..thats the only reason i would have ordered some..but thanks I am looking forward to getting the VK nice and cured..I think it would be a good choice..have you ever looked or grown any of TGA Sub's stuff? the Querkle and Jilly Bean sound really good to me..but Sweettooth sounds pretty nice too

I'm probably looking at another week to week and 1/2 to cut..I am going to have to chop all at once with limited time and space for drying/curing so I am trying to find a happy medium in doing so..the smell on the plants have extremely intensified from my last pic posting..they all smell amazing..especially the Vanilla Kush..the Vanilla smell is really starting to show itself..as far as trich color..all plants are starting to get probably 60% clear, 30% milky, and 10% amber..so I think in another week I will check again...I can't wait to get some trim pics of the VK..the fan leaves are really hiding the inner beauty of this plant..some of the inner colas are very compact just hard to get a pic of.

Have you ever grown or smoked SLH before? both pheno's i have are quite diff but have the lemon smell in a unique way..one more lemon sweet and the other more sharp/crisp lemon smell..im hoping to harvest in another week to ten days..I am always afraid I am going to chop to soon..but I also don't want a super couchlock stone..I prefer the more upbeat energetic high.

Here are a few pics of my SLH # Plant 1 and the Vanilla Kush..hopefully I will harvest in a week or so at most..majority of trichs are milky, but few are amber..the smell has intensified on all plants like crazy..i keep a few people that come over that don't smoke that i keep getting visited by a skunk..lol

Those two donnas' looks really fabulous!
Using this whole log as a reference with my own V-kushes.. Only difference really is that mine's coming form clones.

Any chance you can get a closeup on the buds and perhaps some tricomes?
