Yea LEDS are Impressive IMO.Sure i Read an 18% Increase in Yield When Comparing 1000W Hps to a 1000w LED
Bet the True Draw from the [That] LED is More like 500w (?) as well!

This is the wrap up of my first all-LED garden, and i’ll be honest i’m more impressed than i thought i’d be. We didnt have to water as much, the plants were less stressed and seem stickier. I think the light movers were key in the size garden we have, too. Im excited with the final product and can’t wait to grow some more under these black dog led grow lights.

Onto the final week… all of the plants were finishing up at different times, so in the first bunch of pics we pulled everything with amber trichs and left behind everything that needed a little more time. We spread out the plants we left behind and watered them with pH’d water. They were sucking up a lot more water than i thought they would need at this point. Regardless of the slower development, everything is looking super lush and sticky… this might be the best looking crop i’ve ever grown. Here are some pics from before anything was pulled.

That spectrum balancing lens again from Method Seven, amazing stuff!

We ended up pulling everything 10 days later. Everything got trimmed wet and put on racks to dry, then jarred up with humidity control packs and burped every 2-3 days. Here are some pics from that process:

Final weights in next post!

Holy shit! We ended up getting 2 ¼ pounds! I am happy to report that the final weights ended up being 18 ounces per Platinum XL-U! This is by far my best run and the overwhelming feedback is this is the best quality anyone has smoked from my group of friends.

I am grateful for my friends help with this as well as all the dedicated growers on here that helped me and don’t even know it. ALso, I can’t believe I pulled over 1 pound per LED light so big thanks to Black Dog LED for making some sick ass panels!

Much love, I am going to see how things are curing :joint:

Hey dopetime, just saw this.

The Black Dog lights Im using, the Platinum's, are marketed as 750 watts and heres what i got from a kill-a-watt:

As far as i'm concerned tho, the proof is in the pudding. 18 oz per light is pretty killer, especially considering i had no over heating issues without all the energy usage of air conditioning like i've needed in the past with HID. I'm definitely a convert to LED.

I have one more post on this garden for you all. THe final product is some hiiiigh quality stuff. I have no complaints about the quantity we got, and phew… everything is potent and tasty. I’ve never had so much resin on my scissors or gloves when trimming… the scissor hash alone kept us all going through hours of harvest...
Here are some pictures from harvest and curing:

Thats 18 ounces per light with the lights only pulling 750 watts which is something like 400 watts less than the actual draw of a 1000 watt HPS, a beautiful sight indeed!

My buddy and i are pumped to set up the next grow. We’re figuring out logistics now, so keep an eye out for our next project.

Looks awesome burn. Congrats on a successful run. On your next run, try cutting a couple plants at the base and hang them for 6-8 days before trimming. I think you'll find the plants will have a much stronger odor to them if you wait and trim dry.

Either way, nice grow and I'll be sure to check out the next one.

Such a great journal. Keeping up with it convinced me to invest in a couple. I couldn't justify the idea of paying 4k for 2 LED lights when that could easily buy me 8 1k light packages. Glad I read through this though. Good job dude!

Outstanding!

FYI, word on the street is lots of issues with BD products. Maybe this is newer. Maybe you just got lucky

Curious as to what issues the street is stating? like quality/hardware? I have 9 of them and all have been solid.

The comments come from pretty die hard led enthusiasts that I've been hangin out with on several led threads (including DIY), so they ain't your every day unknowledgeable haters . I don't pay attention to the 'what' specifically

Any company can turn a well deserved bad rap around. Look at Hyundai
