Do not be afraid if the popo roll up on you, and do not let them in if they do not have a warrant, No warrant, get the fuck off my property please sir. I have had them roll up in pick up trucks while i was smoking a doobie on my deck, there where 5 of them{intimidation} and they where just checking to make sure i was not growing in my yard again{no warrant}, my gate was open and they just drove right up{middle of nowhere}, close your gates put no trespassing signs up and if you can afford it have a game camera{night vision} at your gate{hidden} so you can see if those fucker hop your fence and have a sniff around. Cops love to cheat and lie, you can have all the sob stories you want but some cops take it personal are power tripping soldiers of the corporation sweeping the world of evil grower and cannabis pirates.

Something that has always made me put my finger to my head and go...Hmmmm.

I always found it interesting that the RCMP refer to each other as MEMBERS. In the context of..."I was at the mall with the wife last Saturday, and I ran into a couple off duty MEMBERS. I chatted for few minutes but was out with the wife so I had to get going". Now this little sentence means nothing until its put into context. Which is, any and all organized crime gangs, or just gangs in general, refer to each other as "MEMBER". Nobody refers to others in there own group as this guy, or that guy, its always MEMBER at first, then the individual names come up much later in the conversation.

My point being is the RCMP are just another gang that looks out for there own MEMBERS first and will totally Burn you to protect each other.

DON'T ever trust the RCMP...They only have there own interests in mind. They are never there to protect your rights...ever!!! Even if that's what they tell you they will do.

Peace...B

Man.. that Conory essay was not looking promising at all...

"The best thing that could happen between now and March 18th, 2014 is a barrage of heartbreaking stories all over the National, Provincial and local television"

Oh word?

LOL, how about you putting together a better case and acting much quicker than this? That would be the best case scenario.

Dude hasn't dropped by the court ONCE yet.

First it was January, then February, now it's going to be the last day possible.

Sounds like the kid who's about to fail his science project, only problem is it's our liberties on the line here.

I bet the current program will be extended. Seems like the decision regarding MMAR is being put away till the last second. Together with the clearly labeled mail seems like a little push to get as many people off the old program as possible.
Either way I'm just speculating and counting on MMPR to come into effect in April.

Granting some sort of 'extension' at the end of March would allow Health Canada/Ottawa from bad press and potential issues with a lack of supply. I wonder if that's why it's being pushed back now.

Could the court rule to adjust previous MMAR regs to smaller plant limits?

at least anyone can get a license noiw, that is great news.

Anyone can get it without a confirmation of diagnosis through a specialist if they're a Category B patient. That doesn't mean doctors will be any less reluctant to prescribe this.

People have to understand that while WE know from anecdotal evidence that this works, there's still little peer-reviewed, credible literature out there. I'm saying this as a proud MMJ user too. There are no standards or guidelines that are supported by the colleges of surgeons and physicians in Canada, and even the Canadian Medical Association is looking for guidance from Health Canada (because they want to look after their patients, they just don't have the resources).

I have many friends that are doctors who are not too pleased with this. They expect a lot of people coming in saying they have back pain or headaches trying to score a script. I think we just need to legalize it so people can smoke without repercussion. I can see why people try exploiting the system. It's all BS.

January 24, 2014 |

Opponents of legalizing cannabis for medicinal purposes are fond of arguing that the plant must be subjected to the same standards of clinical study and FDA review as conventional medicines. What they fail to mention is that cannabis and its active components have already been subjected to a greater degree of scientific scrutiny than many FDA-approved pharmaceuticals.

According to a just-published analysis of some 200 newly FDA-approved medications, few conventional drugs are tested in multiple, large-scale clinical assessing safety and efficacy trials prior to market approval. “[A]bout a third won approval on the basis of a single clinical trial, and many other trials involved small groups of patients and shorter durations,” reports the Washington Post in its summary of the study, which appears in the January edition of The Journal of the American Medical Association. “Only about 40 percent of approvals included trials in which the new drug was compared with existing drugs on the market.”

By comparison, there exists over 20,000 published studies or reviews in the scientific literature referencing the cannabis plant and its cannabinoids, nearly half of which were published within the last five years, according to a keyword search on PubMed Central, the government repository for peer-reviewed scientific research. Of these, more than 100 are controlled clinical trials assessing the therapeutic efficacy of cannabinoids for a variety of indications.

A 2006 review of 72 of these trials, conducted between the years 1975 and 2004, identifies ten distinct pathologies for which controlled studies on cannabinoids have been published. The review concludes that these trial data “affirm that cannabinoids exhibit an interesting therapeutic potential as antiemetics, appetite stimulants in debilitating diseases (cancer and AIDS), analgesics, as well as in the treatment of multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries, Tourette syndrome, epilepsy and glaucoma.”

A 2010 review of 37 additional controlled trials, conducted between the years 2005 and 2009, similarly acknowledges the plant’s efficacy, finding, “Based on the clinical results, cannabinoids present an interesting therapeutic potential mainly as analgesics in chronic neuropathic pain, appetite stimulants in debilitating diseases (cancer and AIDS), as well as in the treatment of multiple sclerosis.” The review estimates that some 6,100 patients suffering from a wide range of ailments have taken part in clinical cannabis trials over the past decades – a far greater cohort of subjects than would typically participate in clinical trials for more conventional therapeutics.

Most recently, a 2012 review of more recent clinical trials conducted by the California Center for Medicinal Research, involving several hundred patients, concluded emphatically: “Recent clinical trials with smoked and vaporized marijuana, as well as other botanical extracts, indicate the likelihood that the cannabinoids can be useful in the management of neuropathic pain, spasticity due to multiple sclerosis, and possibly other indications...Based on evidence currently available the Schedule I classification is not tenable; it is not accurate that cannabis has no medical value, or that information on safety is lacking.”

The bottom line: Scientists now know more about cannabis as a medicine than regulators know about many of the FDA-approved pharmaceuticals that the plant could replace.

I don't think any doctor would waste their time with a renewal at this point. As far as we all know, they're replacing MMAR with their new shitty program and fucking us all in the as officially on April 1st.

I try to be optimistic, but this is Health Canada and our government that we're talking about here. They've never had our best interests in mind whatsoever.

I think this line pretty much says it all

The best thing that could happen between now and March 18th, 2014 is a barrage of heartbreaking stories all over the National, Provincial and local television and social media news

So he's looking for sob stories which means he doesn't have much which might make a difference atm.

I hope Conroy cant b bought as ive heard of a similar story of a doctor in the Toronto area who owned a pain clinic and was a hardcore activist signing mad documents who was rumored to have been paid $250k by the gov to stop signing documents. I actually tried to schedule an appointment with that doctor during that time only to b turned away saying his office was not accepting new clients but that's all speculation

I thought this might buy some attention, but there are stories with Category 1 patients who have terminal illnesses and no one bats a lash. I'm no where near as sick as those people and I can only imagine how destructive that must be for their lives.

It's incredible how our government can just turn a blind eye so easily. My head is POUNDING right now and I've had a static migraine for almost a weed... I'm taking opiates now that my DG cut me off and I have nothing to treat the pain. I've taken them every day for a week now and I just can't help but think about how bullshit this is. If this MMAR program was still going strong I could have something to treat this pain, or a shop I could walk into to try a few strains. But nope... sitting here in pain and probably getting addicted to opiates. They're covered by my insurance but I get so scared taking them in this fashion. Too bad the government doesn't care. There are people a million times worse off than myself and they turn their back to them as well. Crazy.......

I believe Conroy is going to win a bit of time for us and is trying to bring a lot more attention befor the case gets heard by a higher court . There needs to be a lot of public support to over turn and over rule what Health Canada is trying to do here . There needs to be 100x more attention brought out into the open for a real solution here . I believe mmar and mmpr willrun side by side after april 1st just as it is at the moment .

So Conroy gets us another court date a year from now so what then ?

Well At that point you better hope there is lots of sob stories in place so people can not turn a blind eye .

I'm really confident in our justice system when it comes to peoples health and welfare.

Break it down for what it really is . Were getting screwed by big business and what judge cant see this ?
