Is OGK still the most sought after cut(s) on the boards? ?

You know what I think is amazing about most of the elite cuts out there, is not a breeder able to take credit for them... All these breeders doing all this work and the most sought after cuts comes from people who took no credit for them...
You dont have to be some great or well educated breeder to create the next big thing... You just have to do/try... Any and all of us have the potential to make the next OG Kush... That to me is a beautiful thing
I agree. And also I believe there is probably hundreds if not thousands of excellent elite quality plants out there that will never get the fame because they don't get spread around.
For something to be considered "elite" it has to be spread around, hype has to be built up and so many people have to agree on it "elite quality".
If you have a plant you consider exemplary but it never leaves your garden chances are it will never become an "elite" because it doesn't have the reputation behind it.
I think this is why so many breeders gravitate to the "clone onlys", the reputation is already built, the hard work is done and no pheno hunting necessary.
If they were to work on original creations they'd have to work 10x harder building their own reputation behind it.
It also seems to be that nature does a better job creating "elites" then any "breeder" because it seems some of the most sought after elites happened by accident, usually the result of hermi pollen.

You guys getting wrapped up in the strain game need to go read the "Allegory of the Cave", or perhaps the fable of the "Emperor's New Clothes". Chimera I hope you someday follow through with the dna testing.
The strain game sets us free to a world of possibilities and outcomes. Not shadows on the wall my friend. I'm sure I would not be growing and many would not be smoking if we all HAD to smoke/grow for Marlboro.

The strain game, I <3 that game. I like "elite" cuts. But I also love the cuts that you find on your own or selected pheno from seed. It's purely all for enjoyment.

It really does have a wonderful quality high.
I get up to take a Bong load almost every morning at about three am, then go back to bed, and roll around enjoying the body rushes.

Ive been watching, and the people who have been growing it for awhile, are flush with money, and constantly buying new toys. It has to do with the yield. Wanna blue dream yield with a top Dawg quality flavor and high?
Is Chem related to Diesel? Is OG related to either of them? If so the riddle can be solved by looking in old HT mags...
And its true some of the all time best modern tweeds are from clone only Lotto beans and from Cuts.. Gods gift , Chem, Og ,HP#13 , G13, Triangle Trinity , real SD , P91 , Cookies ect...... if they were made intentionally.. they could be remade some what correctly again.... If all the hacks would call the strains by what they really are , it would help a lot to figure out a little bit of the mess.

Frank, Purpur, you guys I'm happy you're happy with your cut but the atmosphere around GG#4 is starting to sound a lot like ST#4 or 3. This forum goes through phases of obsessing about cuts, which is normal, but it starts to sound like a sales pitch even when it's being given away when the same four or five people are endlessly talking about the cuts they hold. No jealousy here, no desire for your cut, just exhausted by the refrain. The specific cut on top changes, the braggadocio and back-patting never does.
Im kinda high right now man. Theres no need to adjust your set.
From what I have seen, it doesn't. Things become more murky as time goes on.

As time goes on the past becomes foggy and the new truth takes over.
Thats why you see so many OG cuts, not all different, but so many.
Sometimes growers are to blame for adding there name to it to differentiate the version of the same cut being grown (or what they were told the cut was), or just use a name to sell some pot.
Sometimes seed makers are to blame for not changing the name like all the Tahoe OG seeds that have been grown by people and shared as Tahoe OG...
Sometimes ignorance, one person sharing a story they didnt hear all of, or didnt understand, or both, to another person who may or may not understand and on and on.
So many different scenarios but they all end up with a blurred history in the end, from what I have seen so far...

(I took down the bamboo vision diffusion and added about 1000x more light to the action, and now my 2013/14 winter is turning out like 2013 spring.... can;t wait til summer and I get some REAL light hahahaha).
She grows (flowers) outdoor, year round, like a champ. She is the biggest crowd pleaser. Looks. Smell. Taste. Effect. What is tolerance???? hahahaha

I used Original OG in this cross with Mango haze. I think they look similar
I bet that stuff tastes wonderful. This plant sure does
